The only book I've read of his was The Right Stuff. Great writer. RIP.

I've read a half dozen of Tom Wolfe's books. Think I'll give his new one a try.

Did you know his trademark suit was an accident? His suit got ruined, and that was the only thing he could find. It caught peoples attention, and that, even more than his brilliance is what propelled him to fame.

For me it's a tossup between The Right Stuff and Bonfire of the Vanities as to which was his best.

A favorite quote: "Air conditioned Texas-style: that is, to within an inch of your life." from The Right Stuff.

Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test. Brilliant. Ken Kesey, Neal Cassady, the Merry Pranksters,...
