-God never said it was the government's responsibility to take care of the needs of the poor, sick, and homeless.
-God never said it wasn't either.
-God never said it was the government's responsibility to legislate morality.
-God never said gay marriage is a sin
-God never said anything at all about gay marriage
-God has said many things that many people ignore
Yet they will preach with false conviction things God would never say.
-God loves illegal immigrants as much as He loves everybody else, even the hateful self-righteous hypocrites.
and if someone thinks He approves of
taking children from their parents,
locking them in cages,
stacking those cages in overcrowded warehouses
without providing them with toothbrushes, soap, or even blankets
or...
throwing children back over the border to fend for themselves in a land they have never known,
they do not know Him at all.
-God loves, that is who He is. He says that "if any man comes to me, I will in no wise cast him out."
Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they were prideful, lazy, arrogant and did not lift a hand to help those in need
Scribes and Pharisees cared little for actually helping the people who looked to them to see the love of God,
they loved their rights and privileges more.
Today, Evangelicals follow Trump and all that he stands for because they want to hold onto political power
more than they want to help the most desperate and needy in this land,
they want to stack the Supreme Court with justices that would take away gay marriage,
take away the rights of women,
and reinterpret the 14th Amendment to take away birthright citizenship
because that means more than to them than
making sure poor people won't die from sicknesses that healthcare could have prevented.
Selfish, prideful hearts obsess over "keeping what's mine" (Woe unto them)
yet blessed are you who trusts God to provide for you when you give away what is yours to help others.
By the way, you can't out-give God, He always gives you back more than you give away in His name to help others.
Jesus healed the sick everywhere he went.
It is never recorded in the gospels even once that he did not heal someone because of what other people would read into it. He often did the opposite.
He always obeyed what God the Father said because He is the Son of God.

Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they were prideful, lazy, arrogant and did not lift a hand to help those in need
Behold this was the iniquity of Sodom thy sister, pride, the fulness of bread, and abundance, and the idleness of her, and of her daughters: and they did not put forth their hand to the needy, and to the poor.
