Chris Wallace Says Biden ‘Not Available’ For Interview

I would change that to 'Biden is a smart man'

When was the last time Trump accepted an interview from CNN or MSNBC? Maybe before the election. The divide is unprecedented. What's good for the goose, is.......

So you agree that Trump shouldnt go on CNN? Or are you more saying that Biden shouldnt go on FNC until Trump goes on CNN? Follow rather than lead.

oh. this latest Trump supporter's flip flop is delicious.

It is simple. Biden is trying to become president. Will going on FOX help him in that work? Probably not. Then why do it? It is the same reason Trump does not go on MSNBC, and no one on the right is bitching about that.

So then youre ok with Trump not talking to anyone who disagrees with them.

I hear what you are saying. It is still my position that whomever is a supporter of the current administration in late July, 2020, aren’t going to change their minds or cannot afford to change their minds. Every time that Biden speaks in front of a live microphone, I cringe. This is the state of US politics in the first fifth OFG a new century......

Most people aren't hyper-partisans, Rex.... they may have a natural preference for one party or another for various reasons, but given the right circumstances and the right arguments, they can be persuaded to vote the other way.

As for Biden.... he's who he's always been. He's always had that problem with his aim when he shoots from the lip. He's never going to be an inspirational leader... but he has always been solid. And he has always had a knack for reaching out across the aisle and getting things done. That's something that the last three Presidents haven't really had. The case he needs to make is that it's long past due we had that kind of a President again. Sometimes that kind of case is better said with actions than words.

From National Review:

Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden has been dodging Chris Wallace’s interview requests, the Fox News host said Sunday.

Though Wallace interviewed President Trump last week, Biden’s team has said this week the former vice president is “not available” for an interview, feeding into criticism that he avoids press scrutiny.

“We’ll keep asking every week,” Wallace said.

“The fact is, the president is out there. He’s out there in this broiling heat with me for an hour, he took all the questions,” Wallace told colleague Bret Baier. “You can like his answers or dislike them, but he had answers and Joe Biden hasn’t faced that kind of scrutiny, hasn’t faced that kind of exposure.”

If he wants to be President, Biden needs to get out there. It's nearly August, and the election is only three months away.

So if Trump goes on MSNBC then I think Biden should go on FOX

The Republicans never gave Obama a chance to work across the aisle. They said from Day 1 they wouldn't work with him, Moscow Mitch is on video basically saying they wouldn't lift a finger to help him bring the country out of the recession.

For fear of a backlash from their constituents, I remember there were some Republican Congressmen who said they could even be seen talking to Obama. Imagine? Members of Congress saying they couldn't/wouldn't even talk to a POTUS?

There's no reason for Biden to go on Fox.. Most of the Fox viewers are the 'constituents' who would be PO'ed if their Congressman was seen talking to a Dem.

CNNLOL & Others would love Trump on their pathetically low rating channels.

Chancellor Squirrelhead is a white nationalist. will you be voting for him?

No I won’t be voting for the racist White privileged elitist Biden who has been in power for 47 years.

but you're voting for King Tangface, the white supremacist.

he shouldn't grant fox an interview, nor should any Democrat. fox is an RNC infomercial, and he'll gain zero voters.

100% correct

The republican propaganda network

That seems like too much received wisdom, Helix. Chris Wallace is certainly neither a Republican shill nor a Trump sycophant. Biden was not being asked to be interviewed by Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson.

It's the excuse they've got to go with.
Might as well get used to hearing it.

People say all kinds of things. Obama just didn't have the temperament to engage Congress the way he should have. I remember reading in his book how when he was first elected to the Senate he went to Senator Byrd's office and asked him for advice.... and Byrd, surrounded by his hand-written binders of notes about Congressional precedents and rules, told him to study the rules of Congress. Take time to learn the in's and out's. The way Obama described the scene, he made Byrd come across like some hide-bound dinosaur from another age. Obama didn't have time for that - he was going places.

Well, there's no doubt he was going places, alright. But he was ill-equipped for it when he got there. If he had just listened more to Byrd... or appointed someone with some of Byrd's knowledge as his Chief of Staff - then I think he would have gotten a lot more accomplished. I know they sure as hell weren't going to let Biden become the de facto Chief of Staff.... not right after the Cheney Vice Presidency.

McConnell had Obama's number early on.... he knew when push came to shove, Obama wasn't going to be the type to shove back.

We all know Biden could not survive something like a live interview. It would be non stop gaffs. Not sure how they can dodge this till
the election? I have to wonder if they try will fit him with some type of ear piece for the debates? Someway to give him answers?
What ever Biden is slipping farther down the rabbit hole. Who is his VP going to be? That will be the power person....

He's the last great white hope for racist white Americans born between 1930 and 1965.

Biden only does prepared questions and still can't get the answers right. There is no chance he will go into an interview without a script and a fully subservient interviewer, and even less of a chance that Biden will show up to a debate. I think the Dems will literally try to drag this basement campaign straight through to election.

Biden has been doing the out of sight campaign strategy for a while now. Working for him, at least as far as the polling is considered.

Out of sight campaigning is drying up the donor well. He is lagging behind Trump again. Anyway, the media will turn on Biden and then his polling gains will sour.

Biden gains nothing from being in the spotlight right now. When your opponent is busy making mistakes, don't interrupt him.

Only in the world of Trump does anyone think Trump can win an honest debate with anyone on any subject matter beyond how to lose money and get rich at the same time.

Biden can't complete a sentence.

Only in the world of Biden does anyone think Biden would beat Trump in a debate AND defend Biden for running from actual interviews and debates.

I think Biden is doing the “let trump hang himself” strategy though during a pandemic, thats not exactly the best thing to do.

Which network would you recommend for Biden? CNN and MSNBC are DNC informercials, those viewers are already voting for him.

There's no excuse not to appear, in-person, on any network.

i wouldn't. i don't see anything to gain from it, and never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake. his clearest path to victory is to continue standing there not being Trump. it's a sad reality, but our political system is probably fatally flawed, and that's the way it is.

The day Obama was sworn in most of the top GOP brass got together in a conference room in DC and put a game plan together saying they weren't going to lift a finger to help Obama.. And they stuck to that game plan for 8 years..

So during a Biden presidency do you support banning fox reporters in the white house or during press conferences?
