Chris Wallace Trump Interview 19JUL20

"Two beautiful world wars."

My God.

He did an interview with Chris Wallace March 1. Does that count?

No not really, because Wallace to is a Conservative and to be kind he was not hard on trump other than calling him on those things everyone already knew were trump lies. So I rate it as sorta. What I did find interesting was trump attacking FIX for not giving him winning poll numbers and for being too nice to Dems they interviewed.

When was the last time you watched Fox News ( other than Hannity or Tucker)

I watch Laura Ingraham and Shannon Bream several times a week, and I watch the Next Revolution With Steve Hilton every Sunday

The argument that I don't watch enough Fox News isn't going to be convincing

Some people obviously think it means getting rid of the police while others say it is about redirecting funds. The fact it has different meanings to different people would make it difficult to really say Biden 'flip-flopped.'

It's a flavor of both. For example, Minneapolis is planning to completely dismantle their law enforcement. New York is moving funding to other areas and they've dismantled their plain-clothed crime units.

Biden is focused on two things: redirecting funds to support other programs (e.g. mental health), as well as limiting federal funding of law enforcement based on undisclosed performance and quality metrics. Not necessarily abolishing law enforcement, but it would certainly have that indirect outcome.

Trump is talking about withholding federal funding to public schools that don't fully reopen. Would the indirect outcome be abolishing public education?

Reduced funding equates to a reduction in resources and equipment, and it limits the scope of work and what's able to be accomplished. Given the precedent set by politicians; however, their language is often vague and generalized as to not panic their constituencies (e.g. Common Sense Gun Measures = Heavily restrict firearms, undocumented immigrant = illegal alien or "peaceful protester" = rioter).

Completely subjective: I would have high confidence that "defunding law enforcement" has an alternative meaning as well.

We are overburdening our cops by having them handle most emergencies in communities. They shouldn't be the ones dealing with the homeless, prostitutes, drug addicts, mentally ill, loose dogs, etc. We can have people who are actual experts on those things handling it. Btw, why are we amping up police funding when we are supposed to be winding down the failed War on Drugs? It's as asinine as increasing military funding when we're getting out of two major wars.

So I can assume you think Trump is seeking to get rid of public education by threatening to cut off funds for schools that don't fully reopen?

If Chris Wallace was the Democrat nominee he would absolutely crush Trump in debates.

I do agree some law enforcement focus is targeting the wrong areas and should be more focused on emergencies -- sounds like common ground between us. I haven't researched law enforcement funding increases, so i don't have any insights/input on that topic.

I'm not going to respond to the straw man about defunding schools, and I see how my comment about defunding police conveyed that type of scenario. Defunding (not dismantling) law enforcement agencies will no doubt reduce the work force size, and I won't be surprised to see a hefty percentage of law enforcement officers retiring, moving to other locations or finding a different line of work (as we are seeing in both New York City and Minneapolis).

Trumps still believes that he is the sharpest tool in the shed. That’s what the inner circle tells him........

Yeah, he's a tool.

You people need to stop fantasizing.

After he called out Wallace on crooked polling, Trump absolutely owned him. Wallace had no leg to stand on.

‘In political science’ my ass.

Enjoying your unemployment bonus from Pelosi?

Pathetic idol worshiping there.

It is ironic that you are part of that same crowd who hates to wear a mask but have no problem with this:

I sense the Trump Delusion Syndrome is strong in this one.

What I wanted to know is do you watch anything but the extreme rabid right on Fox News... The answer appears to be no... :peace
