IMO Adam Schiff has lost all credibility after every single one of his allegations of "clear evidence Trump colluded" were present in the "confidential documents" was proven false by the Mueller Report.

He just keeps doubling down on his same old rant. IMO only the most ardent conspiracy theorists still believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

At this point there's a still subset of adults who, for political reasons, insist Schiff isn't totally full of it.
Threads like this one will bring them out.
It's useful to know who to take seriously.
We know most of them already but maybe we should formalize a list.

I believe I read that was a possible reason for the commutation, instead of a pardon. As I understand it, if pardoned, one cannot use the 5th Amendment. Maybe one of the lawyer/Constitutional scholars will help me out....
 
How can a convicted criminal like Roger stone be rewarded for his crimes and yet have Lt. col Vindman be denied promotion and subjected to a campaign of retribution Actions simply because he came forward with testimony?

What cannot be allowed to stand is anything that makes Trump look bad, and what Vindman revealed made Trump look extremely bad. (Which is unsurprising, since Trump is indeed extremely bad). So punishing Vindman is perfectly ok.

So far that's not correct. He hasn't been pardoned. You only give up your 5th A. right with a pardon, not a commutation. Stone is at present time a convicted felon. He will appeal his case and loose. Then Trump will pardon him.
 
Roger stone broke the law. He was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers for breaking the law. He should be in jail by now.

That he is being allowed to walk away without serving his prison sentence is a perversion of justice and an abuse of power
