He didn't need to "come down hard on China" he just need to not be their dupe and a rube who couldn't stop saying how well they controlled the virus. Russia is the greatest threat to democracy the world has ever known and since I blame them for helping elect Trump I also blame them for saddling us with an incompetent boob that made the coronavirus much worse in America than it had to be. Trump's tariffs were nothing but a tax on Americans and China's reprisals cost even more than that tax in subsidies for Americans farmers. Trade wars never work and Trumps is no exception.

VOA ceased broadcasts in Russian in 2008, but during the preceding decades, most if not all VOA, RFE and RL broadcasts were jammed, successfully.
And since Russia forces VOA and similar outlets to go online instead, it's only fair that RT get booted off over here.

You're also apparently unaware of the extent to which Russia actively censors internet use. In fact, VOA even complains about it because they are noticing "unpleasant side effects".

What you watch and listen to online in Russia is closely monitored. Sorry that you're unaware of that fact.
But let's remember that you're also unaware of the difference between state funded and private commercial media to begin with.

The most viewed clip in VOA TV News' roster in the past year is a story debunking Russian claims that Italy filed an arrest warrant against Bill Gates and while that might sound impressive, the comments section below the clip offers insights as to the relatively high view count.
Seems the Bill Gates/CV19/5G Tower conspiracy crowd all flocked to the clip to protest against it, insisting that the Russian planted story is somehow TRUE.

Rachel Maddow is an opinion host, not an anchor, and she makes that extremely clear from the beginning of the show to the end - Suing her for defamation is absurd
