It's not an exaggeration to say that this and other pillars of communist thinking destroyed Russian society in the span of two generations.

Karl Marx was an intelligent and highly educated man, but his ideas about race, family, and proper governance are the stuff of dystopian nightmares. Anyone with an objective and thorough view of his ideas put into practice should understand this. No excuses.

As for Mr. Soros, presuming he doesn't support communism, he definitely should not support neo-communist blogs like this openDemocracy.net. I don't expect him to know where every cent of his money goes, but if it's funding openly pro-communist publications, it's his responsibility to know this. Hopefully he'll pull funding from this one.

Well, Marx has been misused by leaders ever since he wrote the Commie Manifesto. Much like Nietzche, his ideas were twisted around to make him sound like the monster goading on other monsters. Nothing could be further from the truth but you are right in that Marxism as it was practiced by the Bolsheviks and Chinese was horrible. But then, so was capitalism if you were a native american or slave. When I think of Marx, I do not think of communism, I think about his observations of capitalism, capital, labor and the human condition for the vast majority of workers in the mid-1800s. I have no clue what this site is about but have listened to Soros speak many times. He is no Marxist or communist or Nazi. He is a capitalist and everything I have heard him say shows me that he is also a humanitarian.

Having perused some of the articles on openDemocracy.net, it appears they do post a fair bit of gum flapping about the plight of the poor. Perhaps that's what Mr. Soros wants to support.

It's a shame that valid "observations of capitalism, capital, labor and the human condition" come mixed together with the garbage in the OP.

When I hear someone complain that this or that is Marxist, I laugh out loud. Medicare was Marxist. Social Security was communist. TARP was Marxist, Keynes is Marxist, Obama was a Marxist, MSNBC is filled with Marxists, its all just bull.

Destruction of traditional families is something that Soros has bankrolled for many years. Catholic sources in Ireland discovered that Soros, who has no ties to Ireland, was the largest financial contributor to the movement that successfully legalized abortion in Ireland. After that victory, Soros then transferred his money into working to achieve legal abortion in Northern Ireland and Poland.

Traditional families (father/mother/children) are essential to building healthy societies. The biggest factor in the disintegration of American culture is the dissolution of the American family.

I know the piece was an opinion article, but Open Democracy chooses to employ Lewis, whose mission in life is to abolish normal, nuclear families. So her views must reflect on the overall goals of the organization, which are typical of the goals found in communism stretching back a century.

As you've said in previous discussions, you blame Britain for Black Wednesday, not Soros. You in fact laud Soros for exploiting GBP, and walking away with £3 billion. So just stop pretending that the stereotypes aren't true, OK? They've been true for well over a millennia, and have nothing to do with laws that forbade certain people from doing honest work for a living. That story in itself is a fraud.

It's typical behavior for someone who relied on jewish financial support, including the Rothschild family, to bail him out of his numerous failed enterprises during the 80s & 90s. Trump is just a spokesman for who owns him.

Nuclear families are not, nor should they be lauded as the only nor the best type of families. All family types should be encouraged and assisted.

And I'm prochoice and see the evidence in allowing people to have the choice on abortion being a good thing and something that helps countries, not hurts them, even helps families.

And paying her for an occasional opinion piece is not "employing" her. I doubt she makes more than a few hundred a month from them, if that.

I'm not trying to defeat Trump, but I'm not going to turn a blind eye to whats going on here either. His presidency is now a complete failure, even his beloved stock market & economy are damaged beyond repair for the foreseeable future. His one and only achievement as Commander in Chief has vanished.
