Investigating political opposites is the sort of thing done in authoritarian governments and should never happen in a democratic society unless a crime has been identified. Mere suspicions are fodder for oppression.

You have no evidence he was her brother. In fact the entire theory makes little sense since as her brother he would have been eligible for citizenship under the same program she got citizenship through, so why would they need to get married? And claiming to make the process go faster is a stupid claim when he never filed for citizenship while they were married.

First, both the Democrats and the Republicans are pushing for more authoritarian government. Sad.

Second, if only one side is investigated and the other side is given a free pass, I agree.

Lastly, suspicions were all the WB had. He only overheard something that didn’t sound right to him. Nothing wrong with a suspicion....and it’s odd to me why Trump and the Trumpeteers have a hard-on for the WB when investigation and witnesses testified that the President abused his office, solicited a bribe from Ukraine and the obstructed justice by trying to cover it up when he was caught.

I have no problem with national leaders being investigated, but there needs to be a basis for the investigation that makes sense to a rational person. Not far fetched conspiracy theories that a normal 10 year old would think is stupid.

You would have to give examples of the left supporting authoritarianism as we do concerning the right and on a daily basis.

Many on the left have not been given a pass. They have been investigated and cleared. You just don't like it.

William Barr appears to base some of his suspicions on the gruel he sees on Fox News.This not only leads him to incredibly partisan conclusions, he damages himself and his agency by making decisions that aren't based in reality.
