Katy Tur gets destroyed

Sage, that is not what she said.

Those late-morning/mid-day hosts on MSNBC are just horrible. I also used to at least sort of respect Brian Williams but his 1,000 "You can pre-order John Bolton's Book at Amazon" asides during impeachment were just shameless

The MSNBC anchor who knew too little

MSNBC actually hired an anchor who thinks the Senate can be gerrymandered?

I would bet that 10 people out of 1,000 wouldn't know that but you're only pointing that out because you're witch hunting any democrat within your eyesight.

sorry, had to edit, there are very mixed opinions on how gerrymandering affects Senatorial elections.

The Washington Examiner is yet another far-right rag that Trumpers love to quote.

The precise quote: ""Is gerrymandering something that would help improve the situation? How does that sort of divide promote consensus in the Senate, or even in the House?"

While I will admit that her question's due to the rather disjointed and unclear phrasing (evidence in and of itself of her vapidness) makes it unclear precisely what she was saying, but it clearly indicates at least a question in her mind as to whether gerrymandering would have AN effect on the Senate is pretty clear.

I would put this up there as slightly less stupid than Don Lemon's serious questions as to whether the disappearance of a large aircraft could be due to it flying into a black hole.

Unless you are going to make the factually false claim that the video of her actual display of constitutional ignorance (at worst) or utter inability to make a clear statement (at best), it is not the Examiner we are quoting, it is Tur herself.

Please present the quote where Tur claimed that the US Senate contains districts that can be gerrymandered.

Or, you can just admit that this post is a lie.

Your choice.

Don't be obtuse: ""Is gerrymandering something that would help improve the situation? How does that sort of divide promote consensus in the Senate, or even in the House?"

No, that statement clearly presumes at least an openness to the notion that gerrymandering can have an impact on the Senate (it doesn't and can't), OR demonstrates her fundamental inability to make a particularly clear statement.

How would YOU interpret that question in a manner that does not include the presumption that gerrymandering has some impact on the Senate?

Yeah, yeah. I am sure we could all find mistakes or stupid questions made by plenty of right wing reporters. This hole post's purpose is to badmouth a reporter who attempts to tell the truth.

Waste of server bandwidth.

Gerrymandering is the process of cheating in order to nullify the votes of the other party. Cheating in order to maintain power in the House to destroys the collegiality in both the house and the Senate.

Your choice to misinterpret AOC's statement just because you hate her is not anyone's problem but your own.

Yea, a lot of people hate her, because she's a divisive piece of garbage who you and The Young Turds promoted.

Oh, hey! Nice to see you again! Have you started any false threads lately? That one where you claimed Omar cheered the death of the troops was a great one

I think it's wonderful you you're not ashamed to post on this forum. It shows what a bit tent we all are!

And to beat it all, we have another divider who is running for congress, Cenk Uyger. Jesus Christ, won't these just extreme left radicals go away? They need to go back under their rocks where they belong.

They are like cockroaches, no matter how much you spray and clean, you can't get rid of them.

Katy Tur is anything but vapid, and her question was clear enough.

Yes, the cult of dirtbag trump is everywhere.

The quotes are hers. As in, actual video. Try again.

No need to. I already know it is taken out of context.

Trump couldn't carry Katy Tur's lunch bucket.

Yes, it was absolutely clear that she thought that gerrymandering has some impact on the the Senate (in fact she clearly indicates that her view is that its impact would be first and foremost on the Senate, and only secondly referring to the House).

Just a tip, when you see those different colored bits of text in internet articles like the one in the original post (called "links"), often if you click on them what pops up is backup for the very claim being made in the sentence.

How is it cheating to use the authority clearly placed in the hands of the states? In the early days of the Republic, a number of states didn't even have congressional districts, rather than party that won the plurality of Congressional vote (even if by a single vote) sent their entire slate of nominees to Congress. To say it is "cheating" is no less stupid than saying Trump "cheated" by winning the Electoral College vote in order to nullify the popular vote.

Pathetic losers bitch about the rules of the game when they fail to win by them.

BTW, did anyone note the irony (and disgusting failure of the ass-licking media) of Pete Buttigieg lamenting how unjust and undemocratic the Electoral College is, while (by his standards) unjustly and undemocratically claiming victory in the Iowa Caucus, when Sanders clearly got more actual votes than he did. But that's the left, disingenuous, hypocritical hacks who will say or do anything to acquire power.

Yeah, yeah, brush a patently STUPID and IGNORANT statement by a fool as a "mistake"...and it is whole, not hole.
