Chris Matthews thinks Bernie Sanders is going to go on an execution spree in Central Park. It’s going to get worse before it gets better as Bernie gets closer to the nomination and then eventually the presidency.

Matthews is right (thought I'd never post this).

Sanders is NOT a Democrat. He is NOT a liberal. He is a socialist - and of the communist version.

Basically, Bernie Sanders is the American Socialist Workers Party raiding the Democratic Party, connecting to the progressive-fascist extremists within the Democratic Party. He personally is just an old kook who rants continuously trying to buy votes with the public treasury.

Matthews is an old school liberal Democrat. He is not one of the new progressive (fascist) socialists. Democrats should listen to what he's explaining.
 
So at 1:34 the dumb fat guy denies that Bernie "took the other side", which is incorrect. Bernie did take the side of Cuba, just like he took the side of the Marxist Sandinistas in Nicaragua. Bernie has never hid his luv for Marxist dictators like Castro and Otega. He was also personal friends with Chavez.

LOL of course it is going to get worse IF Bernie gets closer to the nomination, the further the dems get from the presidency.
 
Democrats also should ask what the hell is going on when one candidate's team declared that Chris Matthews is their enemy and he is sounding as loud an alarm on one of the candidates as possible.

Simply, Matthews does not share the view that Trump definitely will lose re-election and thinks it is a terrible tactic to try to use Trump as the vehicle to turn the USA into a Cuban-style socialist country. I also am glad he is bringing up that during the Cold War Bernie Sanders decided to honeymoon in the USSR.

What would be truthful would be for Bernie Sanders to have run on the Socialist Worker's Party ticket.

Simple reality: none of these candidates is arguing for actual socialism. Even "medicare for all" isn't pure socialism...government ownership of the means of production. True socialism always goes bad. It cannot be started without government ownership of the means of production, which in turn requires a government able to seize said means.

He is saying he knows what true socialism is - and the nature of the countries that Sanders what to turn this country into.

Matthews is at the very least is old enough to remember the Cold War and why socialism was a rightfully dirty word in American politics, and remembered when most socialists like Sanders were fellow travelers with the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact's satellite states.

Matthews is not saying Bernie would perform the executions, he's implying that a socialist like Bernie would be cheering, and he's right. Bernie has great admiration for the Castro brothers and Guevara, and he knows what went on at La Cabana, and there is no doubt whatsoever that he approves of what they did.

Sanders has advocated nationalizing many sectors of industry (government seizes control).

True. But then, to be fair to Matthews, Bernie Sanders is hiding behind seductive obscurity and the general mushiness of the term "socialism." Back when he was younger, he truly did mean that he wanted to nationalize all major industries because like most Marxist socialists, he saw Capitalism and private ownership of the means of production as a system of oppression.

Well, I would not say that for Bernie Sanders. The goal of most democratic socialists (if the folks over at Jacobin are to be believed) is to seize control over the means of production through legal, relatively non-violent means.

The question I think that should seriously be put to Bernie Sanders is: Why are you no longer for nationalization? Because he still calls for state control over power companies. And if he is okay with the government (whether state or federal) taking over energy companies, why stop there? Why not take over the entire energy sector?

I think it is glorious that the party that spent TWO years weaving these elaborate Trump-Russia conspiracies is possibly on its way to nominating one of the biggest communist sympathizers in modern times as its candidate.
