Um, why should any Trump cabinet member not be considered corrupt at this point? Any media organization that ASSUMES non-corrupt motivations of the Trump Admin isn’t worth listening to, because the Trump Admin has utterly decimated their credibility. Balanced journalism is not objective journalism. To paraphrase Cenk, ‘imagine if this was sports and the reporter(s) assumed that both teams were equal when one side scored 12 points and the other scored 0. Who won? I guess we’ll never know.’

The issue isn't that Trump is being mocked and laughed at, it's the mocking of Trump voters and supporters without any push-back from Lemon that's made this clip an issue.

I didn't see them mocking the voters. Maybe I missed that part because the closed captioning can be messed up.

Did the network suspend Lemon?

Did they cut ties with either of those guests?
Did the network make a statement saying those views don't represent the views of CNN, or make kind of any statement at all?

If the answer to those questions are "no", then Lemon does in fact speak for and represent "CNN".

Well, our nation was once transfixed once a week laughing our asses off at Archie Bunker who was the representative at the time of what are now Trump voters. Back then Archie would amuse us all by showing us what a complete moron he was while at the same time having a heart of gold when it counted. No topic was out of bounds and if you watch it now it seems like America has turned itself into a mob of Bunker acolytes when at the time, all of us were ashamed that Archie characterized a single soul. A man on TV laughs at a long time Republican operatives take on Trump and his mob and they scream bias and feign indignation. How about looking in the mirror instead of being proud or defensive of total ignorance?

I'm fine with opinion shows. I have no problem with opinion shows that present cases I don't agree with. Heck, I'm a free speech kind of guy and if you want to be a blithering idiot on TV then knock yourself out.

But, as a business owner, I'd be a little concerned that garbage like this on my network was limiting my audience rather than expanding it. Anyway, that kind of dismissive garbage is a really big part of what put Trump in the White House and it's likely to do so again.

As for CNN, its a global news network and by and large they try to report as objectively as they can. They are not the BBC but perform adequately IMHO. A Don Lemon show is much like most of the content on 24 hour news channels, it is filled with commentary and usually opinions. While not straight news reporting, they do cover events and make judgements about them. In this case, the joke was on every single Trump supporter which if any of them had any self awareness should have shamed them into apologizing for electing this horrid human being. But no, they will take any insult or innuendo made anywhere as an attack upon them personally and try to make it a basis for voting against the tide and the world. i am sorry that most of us think Trump is an imbecile and unfit for office but along with most of us, the world thinks the same way.
