    Chuck Schumer, What A Maroon

Chuck Schumer appeared on THE VIEW today, January 14, and he fed the current impeachment narrative to the program's talking heads in the usual Disney-approved manner. No big surprise there, since Adam Schiff said much the same thing: "a good Senate trial would be one in which they called all the really relevant witnesses we want, and none of the allegedly irrelevant ones Republicans would want."

But Schumer, unlike Schiff, got a little pushback from Megan McCain. I'm not going to type out the exchange; if you want to check my accuracy, listen to the appropriate segments. But in essence, in response to the Left's attacks on Mitch McConnell for his common-sense statement that an impeachment trial was not a normal trial and did not require impartiality, Megan quoted Schumer expressing very nearly the same sentiments back during the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

I give Schumer credit for being fast on his feet, for Slippery Schumer managed to change the subject, nattering about how this impeachment was different from that other impeachment because witnesses re: Clinton had already been called-- all of which had nothing to do with the basic hypocrisy of his earlier position, and none of which responded to Megan's question.

So, to all posters who want to believe Trump is the Father of Lies, the Left is mightily striving to catch up with him.

It is not the Senates job to investigate. It is the senates job to hear the evidence presented by the House.
It is the house democrats fault for not calling witnesses.
    Schumer is a moron.

Garbage in, garbage out. It's too bad the Democrats weren't so concerned while conducting their part.

It's too bad Lindsey Graham never compares vids of him during the Clinton impeachment and now.

A totally different maroon. But of course Graham is a totally different maroon today than he was as recently as 2015. See my siggy.

Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman upheld his oath. Donald Trump has not.

As Schumer said, he already had to make up his mind and vote on impeachment articles twice as part of House Judiciary Committee and on the House floor. He then moved on to the Senate where no additional witnesses or relevant documents was expected to be produced. So, why would he vote differently there for what he just voted for in the House?

In current impeachment, Trump stonewalls and obstructs justice. He does not produce documents or prevents relevant witnesses from testifying. As a result, Republicans complain there is little "first hand knowledge" as a result. And then they have the audacity to say they pre-determinted the case without wanting to learn from those very same witnesses and documents.

This would be really funny if it weren't so sad.

Can you elaborate on why you would want to call irrelevant witnesses?
“personal attorney” to Individual-1, who at that point had become the President of the United States

Just because people like Schiff and Schumer don't want the witnesses does not mean that they're genuinely irrelevant to the case as a whole.

Feel free to name a witness and identify their relevance.

Your demand is not worded very well. Are you asking me to name a witness that I think the Republicans may wish to call? If so, I don't see any point in speculating about something that's going to take place in the next few weeks in real time.

I assume your irrelevant query is your way of changing the topic in order to avoid addressing Schumer's bad intentions.

Hey! Stop trying to make the tan suit thing happen again.
This thought was conceived and poll tested to perfection deep in a wine cave where I host monthly Democrat dinners. While there we discuss killing babies, promoting socialism, taking guns away from everyone, our love of crime, our preference for open borders, how to pollute social networks with our opinions, and what news organizations will carry it. Enjoy!
