A progressive watches or reads about two Fox News pundits strongly disagree with one another during a broadcast, and then tries to stereotype "rightwing nuts" as the group who complains about the left trying to censor speech.

Except for,...I don't remember the alleged "rightwing nuts" as the group who tried to shut down and repeatedly failed at shutting down those they labeled "FAUX" News. Lol! You can't make this stuff up.

Here we go folks another thread started on a piece of crap article based on "tweets".

If you want to know what's on Hannity's show, ask a Trump hater. Seriously.
I don't watch his show. Never been a fan.

Who tf cares??

I did! I remember I was pissed at all the preliminary B.S. I had to watch before they finally opened the vault. I was thinking: "Just open it already"!

Sean Hannity 'cancelled' Geraldo Rivera after Rivera said he'd urge Trump to show 'restraint' with Iran

Right-wing nuts are always lying about "leftists trying to censor free speech".

There is not starker example of that projection than the right wing's favorite knuckle-dragger, Spawn Calamity doing just that!

If the “The Mystery of Al Capone’s Vaults,” or his blatant screw up revealing potential troop movements and location in Iraq 2003 with the 101st Airborne couldn't silence Geraldo or end his career, nothing can.

He is a bit like that stubborn coffee cup stain on the kitchen counter....its there forever.

Yet who is always labeling things "fake news?"

Twitter is the only communication we get from the administration.

I remember it being soooo hyped up and sooo dragged out and when there was nothing in there it was like ok..good night...shows over. I was like wtf geraldo!

Shepard Smith is silenced?

Since when?

He has what is essentially a gag order on his contract with Fox. If goes around giving interviews about his Fox experiences it would cost him millions.

A contract he signed....

Voluntarily.

So he volunteered to be "silenced" while working for Fox.....

Hmmmmm

Easy fix.

Don't work for Fox.

Rivera made a fool on The Five program. He's usually pretty good. But, a couple of days ago, he was going insane. Let's get something straight about free speech. Free speech has to do with protecting the individual from the Government's attempt to silence free speech. Not individuals or individual private organizations.

That's not how contracts work. Shepard Smith signed a contract with a non-compete clause which means he can't go to work for CNN, MSNBC, CBS or any other news network. He can't appear in public and name names, site instances of Fox's skewed towards Trump news reporting, or write a tell-all book.

"Carl Cameron, a Fox News reporter who left the network in 2017 and has since become an outspoken critic, said he was “not the least bit surprised” by Mr. Smith’s decision.

“He’s a warrior and he stayed in the war longer than anybody should have,” Mr. Cameron said in an interview on Friday. “We both would reassure ourselves that authentic, factual news was a way to distinguish ourselves in what was becoming an increasingly more and more partisan network.”

“God help the journalists at Fox hang in there, because they’re doing the right thing,” Mr. Cameron added." Shepard Smith, Fox News Anchor, Abruptly Departs From Network - The New York Times

yeah, it was hyped up enough that we watched it as sort of a family night. at least it was memorable, lol.

I doubt many here can recall the Geraldo Rivera show. He loved the more controversial guests because it drew an audience. It was way back in 1988 that he had some white supremacist neo-Nazi skinheads who started a slug-fest with two others on the podium, one was a Black man, the other was Jewish.

Having these skinheads as guests was controversial to say the least, but Geraldo being the attention-seeker that most Fox pundits are today, was willing to 'go there' for the ratings is would bring the show.

A chair went flying and Geraldo ended up with a broken nose for it, but he did get the publicity he sought.

I remember it vividly.
After that, I thought GR earned his rep as a self-aggrandizing fool.
