NYT Finally Embraces IQ Differences between Races/Ethnicities

When have those think tanks been discredited? How have they been discredited? The public and graphic failures of Head Start and No Child Left Behind provide irrefutable proof of significant racial differences in average intelligence. So does this:

Gould withholds from his readers that The Bell Curve is mainly an empirical work about the causes of social stratification and that it reached its conclusions only after fully analyzing a 12-year longitudinal study of 12,486 youths (3,022 of whom were African American) which showed that most 17-year-olds with high IQs (Blacks as well as Whites) went on to occupational success by their late 20s and early 30s whereas many of those with low IQs (both Black and White) went on to welfare dependency. The average IQ for African Americans was found to be lower than those for Latino, White, Asian, and Jewish Americans (85, 89, 103, 106, and 115, respectively, pp. 273-278). Failure to mention these data fosters the false belief that IQ tests are not predictive and are biased in favor of North Europeans.

SAT and ACT Scores by Race/Ethnicity

Members of some races tend to perform better on all the mental aptitude tests, however they are designed, than members of other races. Those who perform well on the mental aptitude tests nearly always perform well in the class room and on the job.

You do know the differences are not Murray’s work right? That isnt even his main claim. I think we have been over this but you have yet to show the heritability of intelligence. Are you going to act like Gould is the only source i provided or are you going to continue on repeat?

Also if you simply started with watching the video i posted, this would be a shorter conversation. If you expect me to put up with your logical fallacy about teachers, you can watch a video :). Kthxbai


Anyway, the sources supplied in the video show that if you dont ignore social sciences for dumbass petty reasons, the scores tend to level out indicating its not impossible for black people to learn complex math.

If you wish to continue, you are going to have to accept the social sciences and learn what the argument is in the first place.

Heritability is a statistic used in the fields of breeding and genetics that estimates the degree of variation in a phenotypic trait in a population that is due to genetic variation between individuals in that population.[1] In other words, the concept of heritability can alternately be expressed in the form of the following question: "What is the proportion of the variation in a given trait within a population that is not explained by the environment or random chance?"[2]

Other causes of measured variation in a trait are characterized as environmental factors, including measurement error. In human studies of heritability these are often apportioned into factors from "shared environment" and "non-shared environment" based on whether they tend to result in persons brought up in the same household being more or less similar to persons who were not.

If the race realist wants to argue “buh buh its not just neck down!” As if that was what anyone was claiming, they will have to also accept the environment plays a huge role in not only evolutionary changes both macro and micro but also on behavior and the ability to learn.


From a personal standpoint, you are completely wrong about these things being causal. People even with learning disabilities can and do function at higher levels of professions. Shall we take everything that allows people to achieve higher and give them to the genetically pre-determined ubermench and leave the rest to squalor based on faulty assumptions and heavily biased sources?
 
Well, if one assumes you to be citing yourself as a prime example, you'd also be showing how Nazis get obliterated by actual facts.

That's why most of them (if indeed not all) have to resort to the lying that we get to see on here.

I’d say for nazis it is indeed one of the rare all we can use. The nazi apparently thinks opinion pieces are some sort of recognition by the entire company and the “smart” cat believes snapshots of 1 year test scores without any breakdown of environmental variables or long term charts means black people are just inherently incapable of performing advanced math. To top it off this “smart” cat also started with a major logical fallacy.

For everyone else, ill just leave it here as Murray purposely ignores environmental factors that are important.

A 60-page review of the scientific evidence, some based on state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of brain size, has concluded that race differences in average IQ are largely genetic.

The lead article in the June 2005 issue of Psychology, Public Policy and Law, a journal of the American Psychological Association, examined 10 categories of research evidence from around the world to contrast "a hereditarian model (50% genetic-50% cultural) and a culture-only model (0% genetic-100% cultural)."

Do Culture-Only Theories Explain the Data? Culture-only theories do not explain the highly consistent pattern of race differences in IQ, especially the East Asian data. No interventions such as ending segregation, introducing school busing, or "Head Start" programs have reduced the gaps as culture-only theory would predict.

Group intelligence matters at the ends of the bell curve. And yes, Jews are over-represented at the super intelligent end. And under-represented at the really low end. There is no doubt about that. It's science. For the rest of us the curve over-laps us all. There is no appreciable difference between races in that vast middle. And that middle includes the majority of Jews. It's just that some Jews are much more intelligent than most of us. Deal with it.
