Tucker Carlson: Democrats have lost the Trump impeachment war. Even Adam Schiff knows it

I don’t know why you guys respect Tucker or anything he says. All he does is spread fake news, and you don’t even care. I mean, really, do you think Michelle Obama is running for President? Do Fox News viewers like being lied to and misled

Sigh. Try reading the OP before you reply. Super simple request. Super minimal effort on your part.

I think so too. The Democrats wanted us to believe that they were investigating Trump because they were honor and duty bound to do so. If they change their tune because their political calculations have changed, they'll lose.

Indeed if they back down just because they won't 'win' they've missed the point and failed in their responsibility.

And they'll be fried at the polls. I've been saying since I joined DP that the Democrats have every reason to win this effort except that they have an uncanny ability to screw up things that are in their favor.

Since a majority of Americans support impeachment and removal, .

this is NOT true. The majority are against it. And what is comical to me is that more are against it AFTER the testimony...

hearsay and politics and innuendo, Oh my

They should back down, there are 31 Trump districts that dems represent. It's partisan and the voters want to get things done like infrastructure and trade, not the B.S. that's gonig on now.

I don't believe that Nixon Tapes or a Saturday Night Massacre are forthcoming. There are a few people who could settle the issue (for impeachment), but absent that, the Democrats have to use what they have to convince the public. So far, they're not really doing that.
Why not just vote for a censure in the house?

The majority are not against it.

If support for impeachment AND removal hits 55-60 percent, it's game over.
Seeing as how even conservative polls indicate at least in the high forties in favor now, with some edging over 51% at this early stage, it's not looking good for Mr. Trump.
There's no way he will win in November, his shrinking base of hardcores is not enough, and the recent string of Democrat victories in Trump landslide states and swing states is starting to scare the crap out of his hardcore supporters in the House and Senate.

If the 2020 elections result in a massacre of solid Right strongholds in the House and Senate, there's almost a guarantee that the dam will burst, and the firewall will melt, and Republicans in Congress will be running for cover.
A good many of them have already indicated dwindling support for him off the record, and in private a good many more indicate that he's becoming an albatross around their collective necks and that they'd just as soon be rid of him, save for their fear of his hardcore base. If the dam breaks, which it will, and the firewall melts, they'll cut their losses and say tough nuts to his base and Trump will be toast.

These people do not want, not in the worst way, to be on record as supporting box office poison.
Many of them might not give a damn about his ethical and legal breaches but they do care about their own personal future fortunes, and if he begins to cost them too much, he's done.

That's how it worked in the Nixon case, that's how it will work in this one.
You can talk all day long about how you have yet to see anything convincing, but you already know that you're looking at the tip of the iceberg.

You can't stop what's coming, and neither can Donald Trump, neither can Devin Nunes, neither can Bill Barr, neither can Rudy Giuliani. Not even Putin can stop what's coming.

Why did you direct that post at me? I didn't say I haven't seen anything convincing. How am I trying to "stop what's coming"? Maybe you didn't mean to tag me, but I'm confused.

Really? Support for impeachment is declining among independents and he's ahead in Wisconsin. Get your head out of your a**. By the way don't speak for conservatives. Over 95% of conservatives still support our president.

Trying to overturn an election is what you dems do best, but you know what you will NOT win. You all are the enemies of this country.

I'm not a Democrat. How many new troll accounts does Russia require each month?

43% who are against is not a majority. 50% who support impeachment is.

I did not tag you, I responded to the multiple points of view of yours and others in a more general sense.
I just aired what I thought were important points to remember from a historic perspective, that's all.

You did say you had yet to see anything convincing enough, yes?
Wait here, it's about to get more interesting.

No, I didn't say that. I'll wait for you to get whatever you're getting.

Problem is Republican messaging. What Trump did was transparently corrupt and he did do it. Despite the hoarse denials of him and his followers. But, the Republicans are too dishonest and well trained in the art of the smear, so they will clutter up the conversation with their nonsense red herrings and appeals to partisanship.

Yang is right, most Americans don't give a **** about this at all. The ones I talk to are blue collar and they are pretty much fed up with Democrats AND Republicans. You will never convince them that what the Democrats are saying OR, what the Republicans are saying is factual and true. Their sense is more attuned to, who is going to oppose the DC beltway because we can't stand you.

That tells you something. Why they voted for Trump in the first place. What they can't decide is who is more corrupt DC or Trump. Right now DC is winning that race...narrowly.

Since a majority of Americans support impeachment and removal, this negative view of impeachment from Carlson is totally whacked.

The majority does not support it and support is fading by the day.....why??? Because the Dems have got nothing and that's obvious to anyone who's followed along with this circus from the beginning.

Frankly...The Dems are losing there ass on this and they know it!

Bolton could put a fork in it. I think impeachment is frustrated for 2 main reasons. The Democrats can't effectively explain why the public should support impeachment. They think the evidence speaks for itself. It doesn't. Especially for the casual observer who doesn't have impeachment on her mind for more than a couple minutes each day, Democrats need to explain why the evidence that has been presented is conclusive. Second, we're witnessing more of what Cohen told us. Trump is a wannabe thug, gangster, mob boss. He doesn't implicate himself as obviously as he could and he speaks in an indirect "code". It makes the Democrats' job more difficult but not impossible.

Misuse of public funds for private personal gain in an election.

No, I didn't say that. I'll wait for you to get whatever you're getting.

I think I may have had a brain fart from bouncing back and forth on these threads, and I could have sworn you said something to the effect of you haven't having seen anything convincing yet.

I could be wrong ;)
If so, my apologies. :)

Stormy Daniels? Well, yeah. He should have been impeached for that. I'm assuming that's in the queue for criminal charges after he leaves office.

Wasn't I. I've never been in favor of impeachment proceedings. I think it's a distraction and it aggravates the hell out of the public. It's too late to turn back now though. The Democrats need to impeach Trump and swing public opinion far enough into their favor if they want to win in 2020. Conviction in the Senate isn't going to happen and doesn't need to happen.

Tucker sees no harm in supporting Russia in their invasion of Ukraine.
