Can anyone find anything about this on CNN? I can't. But imagine what Don Lemon could have done with it if a white cop had body slammed a black 55-year-old grandmother into the pavement, causing her to sustain nine fractures. I'm not going to justify her use of language, assuming she did, in fact, go off on an "n-word" filled "rant." But I find the mobbish, savage behavior on the part of the Popeyes employees deeply disturbing.

Nah, if you call me in the N-word, be prepared to catch hands.

I never understood how some people can be so weak emotionally that they would respond to words with violence. It seems that people have forgotten the old saying about sticks and stones.

People are stupid. I don't have any sympathy for either one of them.

Ouch. I hope that woman sues the crap out of that employee. I don't care what she said, that kind of violence was not necessary or justified at all. It's good someone got it on tape.

Fine if you fight a man of your own age, but what about picking up a woman and slamming her into a concrete parking lot? Is that acceptable behavior to defend your need to not be offended?

I don't think you should bodyslam an old lady, just cuss her ass out.

She will likely be suing the owner of that Popeyes franchise and will likely get a nice pay day out of it.

"A fast food employee = Police Officer". How desperate and sad. A victim narrative out of control. I think everyone can see the difference between a possible fast food employee and a cop behaving in such a manner.

Why the absurd jump? The OP is this:

The Race War

In the case of racism, it's perceived as the defense of others.

Why would this be on any mainstream national news channel? Americans (of all skin colours, as if that were in any way relevant) violently assault each other thousands of times every single day. This is, sadly, not news in any way. If it hadn’t been caught on video and posted online (because these days “journalists” don’t get up from their desks if they can avoid it), I doubt it would have even been reported in local news.

No one is surprised that the incident did not get much coverage in the "mainstream" media.

Some hot potatoes are just that: Too hot to touch.

Was Lemon involved in the altercation? Or just a bit of Lemon Derangement Syndrome:lamo

It got reported on CBS and NBC. Why this should be national news I have no idea, hardly seems worthy of any national headline.

Are you saying that every time any two people get in a bust up, it should be national news? Or only if they have different skin tones? There are thousands of assaults in the US every single day. How many 24 hour news channels would you fill reporting on all of them?

No, not a "fast food employee," a mob. One employee body slammed the women, while the mob cheered him on.

You mean unless the perp's name is George Zimmerman, don't you?

Yeah being violent over bull**** is just more bull**** that shouldn't happen.
It was awful.

If you have to invent a hypothetical universe where you imagine things happening, you may not have that much of a point.

What does that have to do with anything? The first time he was in the news involved a person being killed and even then, it wasn’t big news until people started accusing the police of mishandling the case. Any other times he’s been in the news will have been influenced by his “celebrity” status due to the first case.

Neither of those things seem to apply in this case so my questions still stand. Are you suggesting that every one of the thousands of assault daily in the USA should be reported in the national media?

WTF is up with Popeye's lately? Are their restaurants filled with "stupid gas"?

There's been a stabbing over a line cutter.
Punch up at a drive-thru
and 6 cowards attack 1 guy

Hey, five years later and I still enjoy marble cake but sadly it has done nothing in the meanwhile to actually promote peace amongst the races.

If you can't see the difference between an incident resulting in fractures and one involving a death, there is not hope for you. The simple fact is, while deplorable on the employee's part, this was a scuff up and wouldn't necessarily make national news. Zimmerman's situation resulted in a death. Now if this employee had killed this lady doing that, you better believe it would have made national news.

All? Surely you must have missed the man and woman who came out too and appear to try and deescalate the situation and the other guy who came over to the lady.

I was referring to the attacker and the ones that cheered him on.

Big difference, and yes, they are freaking animals.
