Popeyes employee body slams woman outside restaurant, MSM largely a no-show

No, not a "fast food employee," a mob. One employee body slammed the women, while the mob cheered him on.

And it's the same as police brutality? How desperately victimized. You just gotta be a race victim, huh?

And your OP isn't race baiting? You're not race hustling?

Your OP is race baiting and race hustling and you're pushing racist BS. Your OP is like the opening statement of a Klan meeting.

What does that have to do with anything? The first time he was in the news involved a person being killed and even then, it wasn’t big news until people started accusing the police of mishandling the case. Any other times he’s been in the news will have been influenced by his “celebrity” status due to the first case.

Neither of those things seem to apply in this case so my questions still stand. Are you suggesting that every one of the thousands of assault daily in the USA should be reported in the national media?

Honestly, Joe, I think you're being disingenuous. Many innocent people are murdered every year, and in most major cities they'll be lucky if they're noted in a sentence or two in a weekly police blotter. And, yes, the police were accused of mishandling their investigation into the death of Trayvon Martin. But when did the mishandling of an investigation by a local police department into possible criminal activity become something that would transfix the nation? By itself it would not. The elephant in the room that you're excluding in both of these cases: the races of the alleged assailants and the victims. Trayvon Martin wasn't the innocent "child" the media attempted to portray him as. He was large enough the knock George Zimmerman to the sidewalk, where he sustained injuries that were consistent with his account that Martin pounded his head into the pavement. Rationally, he should not have been made the poster child for a national movement. So why was he?

So my answer to your question is this: When a black "child" loses his life while committing aggravated assault on a citizen because the "child" didn't like the fact the he was being followed, that is worthy of not only being reported in the national media, but of initiating a national discussion on race. But where a white grandmother is mistreated and brutally assaulted in a mob-like fashion by staff, including the manager, of a fast-food restaurant, that somehow isn't newsworthy.

If we're ever going to have a useful discussion on race relations in this country, it would helpful if it were a two-way street. We can start by discussing why there is so much hostility against some Americans by others principally based on their race. When it comes to black hatred of whites, I would begin by discussing the manner in which progressives continuously seek to reinforce among blacks a culture of victimhood, whereby whites are forcefully and unambiguously cast as the villain. But I'm not holding my breath.

The same as? No. But why would they need to be identical in order to merit discussion?

It's not even remotely related. You're pushing white-victim BS in the typical "race war" template. You got this BS from some hate website and thought you could mainstream the white victimhood.

I only go to restaurants that don’t have liberals. I don’t want to be harassed or beaten up for having a different opinion.

Good we wont have to put up with you anywhere else :D

History doesn't change the fact that it is still simple "name calling". It is merely a word, stop giving it some ethereal power over people and it will go away.

Yeahhh that kinda never works.

People who ignore history are doomed to be face planted outside fast food venues I reckon....

It isn't 'simple name calling' though I guess those from the South shrug off the days when it really was simple name calling that an entire race had to shrug off.

Here's a novel idea- white folks quit using it and the ass whippings, face plantings and other retaliations go away... :peace

All that does is fuel racism by giving the racists anecdotal evidence that they will then use to generalize the entire race as savages. Why give them the ammunition and allow them to have the power to control your emotions? She called him that knowing precisely that it would outrage him and he played right into it, unfortunately for her female privilege didn't protect her from the physical reprisal that came from her actions this time.

Sure they're related. They both involved a lot of rage on the part of blacks against non-blacks, except in one instance the "victim" was pounding the alleged perp's head into the pavement when he was shot, while in the other the victim was brutally attacked after trying get a refund for being overcharged for an order of biscuits and chicken tenders. Instead, she ended up being thrown to the pavement where she sustained multiple fractures. I just want to know: why the anger? To what degree does the constant harping by progressives of whites as the enemy play a part in it, and is this advancing or retarding the state of race relations in general and Black America in particular? Personally, I don't see it helping. We seem to be regressing, and that regression began well before Trump appeared on the scene.

No, they're not.

Take your white-victims race-war BS to someone else. I don't need your white victim hate website file dump.

You came into my house, bro. You know where the door is. :2wave:

You owe everyone an apology for spreading your cowardly brand of hate. The 55 year old woman from the video in the OP had 6 ribs broken, as well as a broken knee, and you actually have the audacity to defend the animal who caused that to happen. I'll never understand why some people think violence is a suitable answer to offensive speech.

Fat chance. I have nothing to apologize for. Unless you actually have something to contribute to the thread other than calling me a racist or implying that I am one, well...

Typical white-victim crap. I called your claims, position, argument and presentation racist. That's not calling you a racist. But you just gotta be a victim, huh? You just gotta be mistreated, huh? So you present idiotic racist BS and when called on it you play the victim.

Everyone can see no ad hom occurred. You're just pretending to be a victim because you don't like your racist BS opposed.

And the bold-rage? Big surprise.

You know, here's something "funny." His profile shows him as being an Army vet. I'm also a vet. I don't know about the Army, but when I was in the Coast Guard, no one gave a **** about race. We all had jobs to do, and they were done, because lives depended on it. I'm not saying it was perfect, but it was the closest thing to a meritocracy I've seen. If you did your time in service, time in rank, completed practicals, passed the requisite exams, and got your C.O.'s recommendation, you got promoted. We didn't have many idiots in the Coast Guard, but if you were a dickwad--white, black, red, yellow, brown, or whatever--you likely got the boot at some point. It was beautiful, and a great model in microcosm for the sort of America I would love to see in my lifetime. Unfortunately, thanks to progressive haters who continuously harp on race, I don't think I will.

Calling my "claims, position, argument, and presentation" racist isn't an argument.

Can anyone find anything about this on CNN? I can't. But imagine what Don Lemon could have done with it if a white cop had body slammed a black 55-year-old grandmother into the pavement, causing her to sustain nine fractures. I'm not going to justify her use of language, assuming she did, in fact, go off on an "n-word" filled "rant." But I find the mobbish, savage behavior on the part of the Popeyes employees deeply disturbing.

Why would this be national news?

An individual that works in a minimum wage job at a fast food restaurant acts like an asshole. This is not a person in authority or a public figure of any sort.

Why do you think this requires national attention?

I could list quite a few national outlets that reported on this, with one notable exception being CNN. It was mentioned in multiple channels in media that cater mainly to an African-American audience. You could ask them the same question, could you not? I'm sure they had their reasons. I've already detailed mine in various responses in this thread, and I'm not going to repeat them solely for your benefit.

ecofarm isn't a progressive- his views fluctuate depending upon geography. He believes in manifest destiny and the theory of a master race when it comes to a certain country in the Mideast which I'm probably not allowed to mention here, and then harbors completely opposing views when it comes to Europe and the United States. I respect progressives on some level for at least being consistent in their world view. ecofarm is not consistent, however. He's fine with keeping blacks locked up in cages and camps if they sully the soil of the country AIPAC works for, but then turns around and supports breaking the ribcage of a 55 year old American woman who said a bad word while in the presence of black people. He's far, far worse than the average misguided American progressive.

You watch those channels?

Not normally, no. I consulted these sources when I was researching this incident. (Two of them I linked in my original post.) Most of my reading and viewing is concentrated in the financial press: Barron's, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune, etc. I also watch CNBC with a dab of Fox News.
