In the final analysis the Washington Post fumbled the Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi headline three times; first, referring to him as the Islamic State's terrorist-in-chief," to "Austere Religious Scholar," and then finally, to "Extremist Leader."

The Times of London meanwhile called al-Baghdad "A promising young footballer and a student of the Koran who became a terrorist, mass murderer and the world's most-wanted man."

And most unbelievably:

Speaking on CBS "Face the Nation," President Obama's Jt. Chiefs Vice Chair James Winnefeld slammed Trump for "piling humiliation" on ISIS after the operation.

"If you look back at the bin Laden raid, we treated his body with respect that is due under Islam," he said.

Sure, the White House should have brought back a shred of an organ (no guessing which pleases the libtards most) to the White House for a sombre Muslim burial. Obama and Hillary would have approved it. Come to think of it, both are rather silent at the moment.

Not sure tossing him in the ocean from the side of a CVN is exactly how bodies are treated respectfully in the Muslim world.

Just wow......seriously, anyone who lived through 9/11 and remembers that time period should be revolted at the direction the left has chosen to take since then. They can't decide if a brutal warlord thug who helped murder Americans is a:

A) hero
B) former stud athlete
C) scumbag

Hint: the answer is C libs!

Right, unarmed humans are usually just blown to bits, or peppered with machine gun fire and dragged down the street while men holding AK-47s dance in the Muslim world. I guess that's the proper procedure.

Well that is one way the handle it. I am sure there are others.

It looks like they're trying not to inflame all of Islam...which is the second largest religion in the world.

In James Winnefelds defense...the reason for Bin Laden's burial at sea was to prevent his grave from becoming a shrine. But he did have a respectful bon voyage....

Officials said that, in accordance with Muslim law, bin Laden's burial at sea was conducted by a Muslim seaman, who recited the prayers and ensured that the body was washed and wrapped appropriately in cloth....

You mean ALL of Islam would be enraged if a terrorist who also killed his fellow Muslims was not given a respectful burial?

Great. If I ever needed a respectful bon voyage (even in private), then I should be a Muslim terrorist, is that it?

Class A criminals at Nuremberg were executed and their ashes were discreetly disposed off without any fanfare or ceremony. It did not inflame the Germans.

The guy blew up his own kids. You really don't need to be nice to animals that do such things.

I wasn't talking about Baghdadi.

Anyway, first reports said two wives were killed with him but none of the children were harmed. But that was before Trump's speech where he over embellished it quite a bit. So who knows really, but it would be just like Trump to use the fake deaths of children to bolster his narrative that Baghdadi was a very evil man.

James LaPorta on Twitter: "Update: @Newsweek can report Baghdadi’s two wives killed in operation. Children were not harmed. A small firefight broke out when U.S. Special Operations arrived. BaghdadI detonated a suicide vest when he could not escape. This article is updating. #Syria https://t.co/Fpr1dOSWBV"

"...The senior Pentagon official said there was a brief firefight when U.S. forces entered the compound in Idlib's Barisha village and that Baghdadi then killed himself by detonating a suicide vest. Family members were present. According to Pentagon sources, no children were harmed in the raid but two Baghdadi wives were killed after detonating their own explosive vests...."

Which goes to show how little you know of permitted Islamic burial rites and provides yet further confirmation of your ignorance.

I guess Trump’s display of jingoism appealed to you.

As Trump described the end of Al Baghadadi, in sickening and provocatively humiliating terms, you cheered loudly.

I doubt that you cheered at all when Bin Landen was killed. Maybe you were one of the ones who fell for Karl Rove’s repeated attempts to declare Bin Laden dead. Right wing media ran after tha football several times.

Meanwhile, the fools gold fuhrer is stationing US troops in Saudi Arabia, the very thing that Osama bin Laden cited as an inspiration for his activities.

Oh, and there’s nothing unusual about any publication going through several iterations of headlines before publishing in a fast moving event.

And , there is nothing unusual about a right wing trash blog trying to make something out of it. Zero Hedge doesn’t have these problems. They never check anything.

So you think they do things right there?

Not sure tossing him in the ocean from the side of a CVN is exactly how bodies are treated respectfully in the Muslim world.

There's a lot of gaslighting going on right now from the Obama admin officials trying to claim that shooting bin Laden in the face and dumping his body in the ocean was somehow "respectful"...

But really, the really broken part of this new disgusting narrative is that either of these monsters deserved respect in the first place.

Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi doused a man in a cage in gasoline and set him of fire on live TV and people are stressing over how we treat the bits of him that were left after he blew himself and three of his children to bits... and they are doing this in an effort to score political points...

... I don't think you realize how self defeating that statement actually is.

I cheered loudly. I'd like to see pictures of his smoldering bits so I could pee on them.

Oh yea, we should never humiliate a terrorist and mass murderer.

Let’s see Trump was slammed because he humiliated a mass murderer and because of the order he thanked other countries and organizations (he named Russia first according to another thread).
I’m sure he will be slammed for not notifying Schiff. Good thing, the soldiers would be dead because Schiff would have leaked it.
In Trump’s first 120 days in office there were 126 leaks by Obama loyalists who want to destroy this country.

The extremists of Islam will always hate us no matter what. I’m not too concerned with their feelings.

Winnefeld is an idiot. Bagdadi blew himself up, so not only did he disrespect his own body, he had innocent men decapitated and burned alive on TV.

What, don't all decent Muslims consider al-Bagdadi a scumbag? Are you telling me they love this meglomaniac who beheaded and burned the innocent?

This is an interesting story. WaPo changes the narrative slightly from day to day? That is rather typical of propaganda pieces these days. The CIA feeds a story to the media, and some detail or other isn't quite right, so they edit.

The Russians are skeptical of the story of the known liars in the US government and media. So am I.

According to this Egyptian news paper, and Bill O'Reilly, and Benazir Bhutto before she was assassinated, Osama died a natural death in December 2001.
