As the people in power continue pushing for war with Iran, its important to name and shame their war peddlers in the media.

Remember the push for war is not about human rights. It's about the profits of multinational corporations. They own our government, virtue has long been jettisoned.

Post clips of warmongering in the media here and I expect there to be many examples across every conservative and establishment media source.

So the media is now "warmongers" because they report on Trump's comments of saying "Locked and Loaded"?

Let not your heart be troubled...

The media...whether they are hawks or doves...do not decide US policy or action. All they can do is try to manipulate public opinion. So if they want to be warmongers, let them. When they spin Trump's words into something he didn't say, let them. When they run around like Chicken Littles, let them.

Neither the media, the globalists nor their bought and paid for politicians will influence Trump.

No. It's the Corporations, up in their Corporate Buildings, being all Corporationy, because Corporations.

Iran upped the ante by launching a major attack against the Saudi oil system. Hopefully they get a punch in the nose back to teach them not to do that.

Worth noting - if so, then we had to do this now because when we backed off before, we taught them that they could get away with this kind of BS.

What the media won't tell you is that the Americans and Saudis have been starving and bombing the Yemeni for years now.

So, we know we aren't mad at Iran for supposed human right abuses, the given reason for these skirmishes abroad.

Since we aren't over there for our given reasons why are we?

Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.

Trump is susceptible to corruption too. Why did he flip flop on guns when the NRA reminded him he is their bitch boy

:raises eyebrow: The Saudi war with the Houthi has been in the media for years. Or is this one of those "what the media won't tell you" that actually means "aha, but I think this point means that other points don't exist"?

Obviously the Corporations, right? They're up in their Corporate Buildings acting all Corporationy, with the Templars, and the Illuminati, and stuff.

We care about Yemen for a couple of reasons:

1. AQAP - located in Yemen - was a regular hotbed of EXOPS threats against the West.
2. ISIS-Y - located in Yemen - has obvious intention to do the same.
3. The Straight of Bab el Mandeb is a piece of Globally important Geopolitical terrain. That's why we cared a lot more about Somali pirates than we did Nigerian ones, and it's why we care a lot more about "Houthi" shooting at oil tankers than we care about Chinese messing with fishing boats.

He didn't flip flop on guns. Stop listening to the media.

I agree many in the media are warmongers, but reporting on what Trump said is not evidence of it.

Just a jumping off point, post videos of the warmongering you are guaranteed to find in the coming months

When's the last time you saw a blaring CNN headline "US-Saudi Coalition Starving Yemeni Children"

But, you think they ran a blaring headline about this oil dustup?

Linking Iran whenever possible. Iran is not the Houthi. They are engaged in some geopolitical ****ery with Saudi Arabia.

Btw, your points on Terrorist hotbeds in Yemen. Saudi Arabia is the exporter of Wahhabism the radical Sunni sect that attacks the West. They are enemies of Iran. So, why are the warmongers out there in the media blaming Iran for **** they had nothing to do with and actually fight against?

And yeah, US hegemony in the region to protect economic interests combined with a sociopathic American exceptionalism and a dash of Christian extremism, in my view, is why we're in the *edit in the Middle East. It's a jambalaya of right wing ignorance and prejudice against Muslims and the exploitation of that ignorance and prejudice by monied interests.

You failed the most important part, why? They are reporting on what Trump says and tweets. How does that make them warmongers?

That particular article is a bad example but a good reference point for the discussion.

US President says some idiotic **** that makes Mike Pompeo wet his trousers and the media starts beating the drums for war. You'll notice they always are quick to blame Iran in order to war monger. But they never condemn our own government actions

Does mainstream news ever condemn the US-Saudi coalition?

Actually in this case they are reporting what the white house is putting out. Maybe you should blame Trump's constant idiotic tweeting.

Oh. So if the headline isn't blaring enough, that constitutes a coverup?

I know some Trump fans who insist the media always buries and tries to keep people from learning about good news stories who will be interested in hearing about this standard.

But, you think they ran a blaring headline about this oil dustup?

It's the largest attack on the global oil supply in post-war history - I'd hardly call that a dustup.

Linking Iran whenever possible.

It's not "whenever possible." It's that they did.

Cool. So

A) You are incorrect - the Houthi do not have this organic capability. Blaming the Houthi for this attack would be like blaming al-Shabaab for an attack from stealth fighter/bombers.
B) The point about Wahhabism - sure, while well made - in no way changes anything I wrote about AQAP, ISIS-Y, etc.
C) If you think AQAP is the enemy of Iran, you haven't been paying attention to where AQSL has been hanging out for the past decade and a half or so.

And yeah, US hegemony in the region to protect economic interests combined with a sociopathic American exceptionalism and a dash of Christian extremism, in my view, is why we're in the *edit in the Middle East

The first but not the last, with a modification of the middle.

1. We absolutely have strategic interests in the Middle East, both geopolitical (freedom of navigation and energy), and political-military (disrupting threats from VEOs to the West, and the U.S. in particular).

2. We are, in fact, an exceptional nation - no one else has our capability.

3. However, we aren't sociopathic, nor are we there for some kind of Christian extremist nonsense, any more than we are there because Jews Secretly Control America, or any of the other bull**** stupid claims people make when they don't like to admit that others are capable of coming to differing conclusions than they, and that their conclusions are way off from the American political mainstream.

Imagine explaining to George Washington why the feuds of Middle Eastern tribes are of vital interest to America.

So the media is now "warmongers" because they report on Trump's comments of saying "Locked and Loaded"?

No, that is just one more straw in a very huge pile of straw.

The mainstream media earned their warmonger status many decades ago. Probably even before Judith Miller and NYT praised the lies told about WMD by Bush & Company.

Is he not waiting for all the facts? Is he not waiting for facts to bring in front of his advisors and before congress?
Seems a lot more levelheaded than many of our Dem candidates who want to impeach a person based on an opinion by the NYT. I don't even want to imagine their spontaneity if they have to face a critical situation.
