Shepard Smith

Shepard Smith is the only show I watch on Fox. He's honest and impartial. No, he's not a fan of Trump but Shepard Smith tells the Fox audience what most of them do not want to hear. He's his own man and can't be paid off by Trump like Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.
There are plenty of trump critics on fox

Bret Baeir, too. Particularly with his often excellent panel discussion segments.

Sean hannity
Steve hilton
Mark levine
Janeane piero
Tucker carlson
Jesse watters
Steve ducey
Laura Ingram

His panel has never been the same since Krauthammer passed away.

But I agree with you. Baier, Cavuto and Smith are the only decent people on Fox News, and Wallace does a great job with his Sunday show and when he fills in for Baier.

I think Fox allows hosts like Shep, Mike Wallace and Bret Baier and even Brit Hume to not completely appear as sycophants.

Shep's always been good comic relief, but as a news anchor, his opinions are his own, and should be kept to himself

I've always liked Shep but have been very disappointed since he decided to begin editorializing, which is entirely inappropriate.

Some people posting on this thread don't seem to understand the difference between a newsman/woman and a political commentator/analyst/talking head.

I find it impossible to watch Mr. Shepard.

He tries too hard to be Mr. Goody Two Shoes.

That irritates me, so I turn to the reruns of "Friends."

What don’t you get about he OP?

Who changes the channel for you?

Who changes the channel for you?

I was responding to Chez's statement about Smith's role as a news anchors, not to your OP.

What provoked your snark here?

What provoked your snark here?

I was responding to two posts. Where is the snark in your reply?

The point of the OP was the fact that I enjoyed Shepard returning fire on Trump’s Twitter remarks.

And Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham aren't giving their "rightist" opinion? Seriously, Trump is paying all of them off in one way or another. Hannity is the boss of Trump. Oh, you didn't realize that yet? Sean Hannity is the one that tells Trump what to say and how to react to the press. Any interview Trump does with Hanity gives both Trump and his favorite Fox News host an opportunity to vent about their perceived enemies, both real and imagined.

I wasn't responding to anyone but Shepard Smith. He's as bad as Don Lemon. Those you mentioned give honest opinions based on simple deductive reasoning principles. Not Smith. He lies like CNN and MSNBC.

I think Smith is part of the WWE philosophy at Fox where you have clowns like Hannity and Carlson playing the “face” giving the fans what they want to hear and Smith as a heel. It’s all show biz at that dump they call Fox News.
