Yet it wasn't until now that he felt bold enough to go shoot innocent people as they begged for their lives.

He was 21 and trump has been ranting about the raping and murdering mexicans crossing the border 4 years ago. Anyone that thinks that the president screaming about mexican invasions and how they are rapists and murderers etc had no effect on a confused and troubled 17 year old is fooling themselves.

If you look at the history of young men that commit these types of crimes you'll see that it's generally not an overnight happening. Even after they decide to do it, they often spend time researching, planning and even casing the site. The quoted comments again illustrate that.
 
Literally, the criminal has confessed his crime and his motives, but because it doesn't fit the current political narrative...

Sure they do. The point is, if a person goes for years contemplating or making plans, yet doing nothing until one day he hears or reads something that can look like a full steam ahead motion then it matters what politicians are out their spreading. I didn't follow the thing about Maxine Waters (?) but were her words condemned for causing some ruckus not long ago?

He targetted Mexicans, but he isn't a racist.

Anyone who believes that likely supports building a wall.
