Why isn't she a part of the squad?

“The Squad”... the far left cannot help but find ways to champion the division, even when initiated by those who asked for the divide being their political opposition out on the far right.

This is our new norm, it is no wonder the Independents are now the largest political group, and it is not a good thing when thinking about the whole point of Civil Rights.

Probably because she isn't actually left-wing, like the squad is. In international terms, the Democratic establishment is solidly center-right.

Trump wants to keep it 100% non-white people. Much better for photo opts.

Because she's not?

Funny how the far right and the far left can meet each other in things like dividing the country.

The fact that the far-right, as evident by the comments here, think that the "Squad" are far left, shows use how far right they are. Let's examine how the right concludes that the Squad is radical. They believe in a high upper income tax-rate -- something most Americans agree. AOC wrote that the upper income tax-rate should be 70% and the right went nuts, even though for most of the 20th Century the upper income tax-rate was at least 70%. Then, there is the idea of universal medical coverage -- something that most Americans think we should have -- a system that covers everyone.

It would seem to me that it isn't that this Squad to too far left -- they seem aligned with what the policy choices of Americans. It's the far-right that's out-of-step with America.

I don't even know who she is. But she's white, so that's a strike against her already, as far as the regressives are concerned.

So Hillary (ya remember the one the rabid right called a darling of the Progressives) would have been our first non white female President????
No Sir, ever since the days of Willie Horton and BushI the Republicants have used race as both bait and fearmongering for the regressive rabid right.... :peace

You really categorize Katie Porter as center Right?

You really categorize Katie Porter as center Right?

The existence of outliers do not contradict the existence of the average, and even this outlier is center left at best. Keep in mind, you aren't truly approaching the far left or far bottom until you're questioning whether or not we should abolish the state and/or money.

Are we really at the point where we are just showing headlines instead talking about articles?

"The Squad" s policies would represent the norm in just about every developed country but one.

Katie Porter doesn’t look like it, but she is pretty sharp witted!

I think I should have a 20 million dollar yacht.

Me too. In fact, I think most Americans would agree that they should have a 20 million dollar yachts.

Not the point I was making, but okay?

Hillary lost because of her own laziness, lack of effort, and her own action catching up with her.
I'll be happy to help usher in our first woman president. Just not that particular one.

Yeah, the 'point' you are trying to make is as flawed as tRump's tan job....

The Dems don't see white women as having a strike against them, Hillary was my example- why she didn't win the election isn't relevant to your whine.

The Regressive Rabid Right embrace white so no strike there, just more Russian pot stirring type rhetoric... :peace

Former Sanders Spokeswoman: "We Don't Need White People Leading The Democratic Party" | Video | RealClearPolitics

Symone Sanders, former spokeswoman for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, appeared on CNN Wednesday afternoon to weigh in on the future of the DNC and the Democratic party. Sanders dismissed the idea of Howard Dean returning as DNC chairman commenting, "we don't need white people leading the Democratic party right now."

You might want to police your own side, instead of someone else's. :lamo
