I've been accused of "always talking about race", so I made a deal with a poster that I'd stop talking about race on this board once CNN goes 7 days without talking about race. Of course, they "have to" talk about race when Trump talks about race, so I won't count any 'Trump is a racist" articles from CNN, to make it fair.

I can't go digging either - the racebait must be located directly on CNN's front page, and I have to provide a screenshot.

I'll keep track of them here.

Though 3 days old, this is on CNN's front page as of 9:15AM EST:

This is a good one. "White" and "black" are mentioned in the headline. Looks like so far, I will stop talking about race on July 23rd.

Wow you must really have nothing going in your life to be glued to CNN 24/7 for 7 days just to prove a point on an anonymous internet forum.

Good luck.

It's not so bad. I do a cntrl-F, look for racially identifying terminology, take a quick screenshot and post.

CNN makes money to find content for a 24/7 channel and website...just so happens that the current occupier of the WH provides them with a plethora of racially tinged material.

What's the OP's excuse?

As I said in post #1, " I won't count any 'Trump is a racist" articles from CNN".

I'll also be sure to only count front page articles (on the root of the site) that have headlines with racially identifying information geared towards Americans. Terms such as white, black, "of color", African, Hispanic, latino, latina, latinx. "Minority" is also included because it racially excludes whites.

How about

"go back to where you came from"

I kinda get the feeling that no one really cares about how much you talk about race...

I was getting a bit nervous, it went to 5pm EST without racially identifying an American citizen. CNN came through for me though, pointing out the race of a GOP congressman:

My "ceasefire" on race is pushed up to July 24th.

I'm noticing one of the CNN headlines, "When Russia came knocking for Julian Assange". Looks like things are so bad for the Mueller indictment of Concord Management that CNN is fully in damage control trying to salvage the hoax. Pure propaganda, the staple of the mainstream media.

Who?

How about you have them confirm that that was the deal?

How about you have them confirm that CNN reporting on the fact that another woman said she was evicted due to her race, that that is not the woman talking about race but is in fact CNN talking about it instead?

Something if not several things in this thread stink(s)

You got that from a headline?

You have a problem with CNN reporting news?

I can't recall who it was. They had accused me of talking about race a lot, which I do. I offered a unilateral deal - I'd stop talking about it once CNN goes 7 days without. In the latest example, the claim was that the woman was evicted because she had black guests. CNN chose to identify her race in the headline. It goes without saying that it was yet another negative article about race relations.

CNN's racial stories are kind of like daily Dunkin Donuts expenses. You don't really notice unless you keep track - one day you turn around and find out you're giving $400 a month to Dunkin.

You have a problem with CNN reporting news?

I offer a new deal! I won't have a problem with CNN's racial reporting if you don't have a problem with Fox's reporting on black crime. They are both "news".

Doesn't look like you're coming up with much about race from CNN beyond the current events about Trump. The way you talk, I expected to see more.

The entire media in the entire world reports on race all the time.

There is tons of racial stuff on CNN. To make is sporting, I was going for front-page only and direct mention of race in the link itself. Were I to expand the parameters, a whole new world of "Americans" comes to light, courtesy of CNN:

"Latinx":

First one includes pronunciation advice, a real gem!:

What does it mean to be Latino in America today? - CNN

Applications Open for Colgate-Palmolive's Annual Haz la U™ Educational Grant Program

This one says latin in the URL but has "Latinx" in the headline:

New Latin Stars of Hollywood

Hispanic or Latino? Which "American" are they?

Hispanic or Latino? Why their identity is so complicated - CNN

Hispanics trying to be white:

Opinion: Why are Hispanics identifying as white? - CNN

Diversity of Hispanics!

http://inamerica.blogs.cnn.com/2013...asing-cultural-economic-and-social-diversity/

Latinx representation class!:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/27/us/selena-san-diego-state-university-class/index.html

Latino power is rising, but Kamala is inferred to not be Hispanic and "seeks to connect":

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/22/politics/kamala-harris-latino-voters-2020/index.html

Aren't Kamala and "Hispanics" all Americans? At any rate, time for the blacks:

https://money.cnn.com/2018/06/15/technology/google-diversity-report/index.html

I have to quote the above article, it's hilarious:

"Attrition rates in 2017 were highest for Black Googlers followed by Latinx Googlers, and lowest for Asian Googlers"

Not only do we have Black Googlers, but we have "Black Travel" too:

https://www.cnn.com/2016/06/15/africa/black-travel-discriminatory/index.html

Writers "of color":

http://edition.cnn.com/travel/gallery/book-list-travel-writers-of-color/?gallery=0

Now to the fun stuff - white vs black:

White woman, black name. Did you know names could be black? CNN does!:

"White" schools and "black" schools:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/27/us/education-funding-disparity-study-trnd/index.html

Blackface and New Orleans, "white" is mentioned 16 times:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/16/us/zulu-new-orleans-blackface/index.html

Black babies with lots of comparisons to white babies!:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/23/health/medicaid-expansion-black-infant-health-study/index.html

Blacks and Hispanics make less air pollution than whites:

I opened the first five links. The first is from 2016. The third from 2017. The fourth and fifth from 2014.

So you didn't find much on the front page, and you didn't find much current in the search engine.

You haven't done well at all backing up your accusation about CNN's preoccupation with race.

I guess I haven't. Since CNN is not preoccupied with race, it should be pretty easy for them to go 7 days without racially identifying Americans on their front page. Took this just now. This doesn't count, since it's same day as the last one, but if this crap is still there tomorrow it counts as a race article from CNN:

Your standard is arbitrary and silly. Oh, and ironic. In your search to find evidence of their preoccupation, you have exonerated them of what you wanted to prove, but you remain preoccupied.

Carry on. You will anyway.

Toodles.

A bit lazy of me, but the front page, racially identifying "black Trump voter" story carries into today, which pushes my racial ceasefire up another day to July 25th:

Capture.JPG

The first incarnation was "Black Trump voter", then the same American was characterized as "Black Trump Supporter".

I may stop in later in the day if more race-vomit appears on CNN, but it will simply be for archival purposes.

You got that from a headline?

Well, a headline in Post 1 of this thread, AND knowledge regarding the court's decisions and comments regarding Mueller's indictment of Concord Management.

Is that new territory for you?
