There's good reason to. If he says there are "fine people on both sides" to Nazis, it's not vitriol and hatred to show videos of him doing that. If he makes fun of a handicapped reporter at his rally, it's not vitriol and hatred to report that.
Fox News was absolutely going crazy when Obama, in trying to improve the public health of the nation, once said "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor". He lied! He lied! They found a couple of people who apparently couldn't keep their doctor, and they kept saying how "Obama lied". But Trump has 10,000+ documented lies, from sleeping with a stripper while his new 3rd wife was pregnant at home, and then lying about it and paying out hush money to keep it quiet; to telling us about all the Muslims he saw on NJ rooftops after 9/11 cheering it on, just to drum up dangerous levels of hatred and bigotry towards entire religious and ethnic groups in this country, to dangerous lies and misleading the public on climate change science by telling them it's just a Chinese hoax, to vicious attempts at character assasination going on for 6 years straight about Obama's secret Kenyan birth certificate and how we were not going to believe what his "top people" were finding on it, etc, etc....
These are facts. There is no equivalance. There is no hate-speak to report on this. There is no irony.
