Two questions; I have only seen a few snippets of the interview with Trump.

Why grant ABC, not seen as a friendly media source, a one-on-one interview?

Why let your guard down, or pretend to let your guard down; I debated posting in CT.

Sounds to me he's paving the way for more Russian assistance this election, as well as to move the bar for the public to accept it after it occurs.

Before the last election, Trump went on CNN, and started touting Universal Health care. It's a whatever-it-takes-to-win attitude. Steal a few votes here, a few votes there. They know there is nothing to lose. He will not lose his base, by saying these things - LIEs or not. To his base, "his Oppo Research" was his path to victory in 2016, and he is saying - "We will do it again, regardless of whether it's legal or not, if that's what it takes".

Because he doesn't care anymore. He knows he is above the law. He knows the DOJ is his, and Congress is weak and feckless.

After watching Hillary screw Sanders, and knowing she paid a foreign agent to concoct lies about her opponent, YOU finally realise politics is a dirty game?
Or are you just being a bit of a hypocrite?

Except that Steele has not been a special agent for MI6 as of 2009.

I wonder who arranged it and why he did it. I think it’s the reason he did not meet with Mueller.

Except she didn't screw Sanders. The Democratic Party selected a MEMBER OF the Democratic Party, and they protected that candidate from party outsiders, of which Sanders WAS one in 2016.

Now, did the DNC do other things that were not kosher, and some that might even be illegal? Not the thread to discuss this but it's entirely possible.
But HRC didn't do anything to Bernie except act arrogant, which she did with the rest of the country, and too many in the rest of the country responded appropriately (at least in their view) by not voting for her.

Worst Dem candidate ever, HRC.

Former interim Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile claims Hillary Clinton secretly took over the DNC before she had won the Democratic primary. In an excerpt from her new book published by Politico, Brazile said she promised Clinton’s opponent, Bernie Sanders, that she would get to the bottom of whether Clinton had “rigged the nomination process.” She wrote, “By September 7, the day I called Bernie, I had found my proof and it broke my heart.” Brazile describes a fundraising agreement between the Hillary Victory Fund, Hillary for America, and the DNC that stipulated that Hillary would control the “party’s finances, strategy, and all the money raised” in exchange for Clinton raising money and investing in the DNC. It was signed long before Clinton became the nominee.
Donna Brazile: I Found ‘Proof’ That Hillary Rigged the Race Against Bernie

So ya...there's that too...

The only recourse is for voters to.drain the Trump swamp.

He did the interview to answer this question from a Clinton embed at ABC:

“You clearly believe there was a group of people working against you. Do you think President Obama was behind it?”

^^^ This ^^^

The bar has been set so low that it no longer matters, Trump has ensured that it no longer matters what he does. Assuming for a moment that Trump does not win a second term, I am not entirely convinced he will actually leave office.

Sorry, but that's paranoid nonsense.

Please spare yourself the effort because if you think I am here to defend Hillary, you're mistaken.
But that said, I couldn't help noticing that you, a member of the Right, are referencing Donna Brazile.
Weren't you guys pretty much calling for her head not too long ago?

Hillary "rigged" the race? Hillary and her peeps just made it clear that she expected to be coronated, that's what happened.
The DNC simply fell all over themselves trying to accommodate her.

Now, can you tell me why I should listen to a member of the Right for advice on how to deal with the Democratic Party?
Don't you have some women or minorities to discriminate against, or some theocracy to fantasize about, or some billionaires to bow down to, or have a war to go cheer for somewhere?

I agree. Manufactured fake news. Made even worse by the fact that talking about hypothetical somethings is equated somehow with activities that occurred ....

The handwritten notes exposing what Fusion GPS told DOJ about Trump

"A memory stick quietly exchanged in a coffee shop.

An admission of a “Hail Mary” leak.

An unmistakable effort to push the Russia investigation closer to Donald Trump’s inner circle with uncorroborated tales.

Those are just some of the highlights from the day that Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson — paid by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to find dirt on her GOP rival — met secretly with a top Justice Department official, right after Trump won the 2016 election.

And all of it was captured in the official’s handwritten notes — a contemporaneous record that intelligence professionals tell me exposes the flaws plaguing the early Russia collusion case.

For example, Simpson told then-Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr during the Dec. 10, 2016, meeting in a Washington coffee shop that he believed Trump’s longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, was the “go-between from Russia to the Trump campaign.”

Yet, Simpson allegedly acknowledged that most of the information Fusion GPS and British intelligence operative Christopher Steele developed did not come from sources inside Moscow. “Much of the collection about the Trump campaign ties to Russia comes from a former Russian intelligence officer (? not entirely clear) who lives in the U.S.,” Ohr scribbled in his notes.

In those notes, Ohr repeatedly misspells Simpson’s first name as “Glen.”

Cohen has emphatically and repeatedly denied any role in connecting Russia to the Trump campaign. His lawyer, Lanny Davis, declined comment Thursday.

Simpson admitted in sworn testimony last year to the House Intelligence Committee that he had contact with Ohr after Trump’s election victory. But Ohr’s notes provide the first detailed public account of what the two men actually discussed.

Congressional investigators now are scouring them for evidence that Simpson and Steele had influence over the Russia probe, even after Steele was dismissed as an FBI informant in November 2016. Investigators want to know if any players in the Russia probe gave Congress false testimony.

One notation that stands out is Simpson’s account that he asked Steele to talk with Mother Jones reporter David Corn about their muckraking on Trump and Russia in the final days of the election. At the time, Steele still worked as an FBI source.

Corn’s Oct. 31, 2016, story was one of the most definitive to allege possible ties between the Trump campaign and Moscow, creating an important talking point for Democrats in the final days of the campaign.

“Glen asked Chris to speak to the Mother Jones reporter. It was Glen’s Hail Mary attempt,” Ohr wrote.

When Simpson testified before Congress, he said he and Steele acted out of a sense of duty. “For him it was professional obligations. I mean, for both of us it was citizenship. You know, people report crimes all the time,” he told the Senate Judiciary Committee.

In his House testimony, though, he conceded not knowing if what he and Steele dug up amounted to a crime: “At the time that we — you know, that Chris decided to take this to the FBI, I wasn't convinced of the facts of anything in terms of — I wasn't convinced that there was a specific crime that occurred.”

So, congressional investigators want to know why — if Simpson acted purely on the basis of civic duty — he and Steele went to the press shortly before Election Day with allegations before the FBI completed its work.

Simpson’s lawyer, Josh Levy, did not return a call seeking comment."

I'm just pointing out that it appears there will be hell to pay for some of the things Hillary-Billary and her cohorts did.
As for the Democrats...I have a feeling that well before the 2020 election, they'll be in deep doodoo.
With regards to your last comment...I don't discriminate based on race or sex...I am not religious, in the traditional sense...I don't know any real "billionaires", do you?
And finally...I was always against Shock and Awe, and I think the Afghanistan war is a fool's errand. But I am impressed with your ability to make baseless accusations in such a fine and backhanded manner. You've done your virtue-signalling for the day...and earned your badge. Conga-rats.

Tell me again, given your seething and almost homicidal hatred of anything liberal, why we should take your advice on ANYTHING to do with the Democratic Party. Not a single person here, conservative OR liberal, believes that you are speaking out of any genuine concern.
Not. A. One.
