Colbert Takes Collusion Off ‘List of Reasons Trump Is Unfit to Be President’

How was I "off-topic"?

Look at posts numbers 2 and 3 in this thread and you tell me, my friend.

The OP, according to Trix was supposed to be about liberal bias regarding late-night talk shows, unlike ThoughtEx, she allowed you just to liberal-bash. She actually gave your post a, "like" proving to me that you and Trix only care about your perceived "bias" when the "bias" works against a conservative politician. It's so obvious.

He is NOT a shoo-in. He is his own worst enemy. But this IS catastrophic for the Democrats, and for the media, in ways I don't think they're quite ready to face up to yet.

I'm not sure that's true. I mean, maybe it should be true, but I think you guys are so polarized already that it really doesn't matter. In the same way that die hard Trump supporters will excuse any "bad thing" he does, die hard Trump haters will excuse any "bad thing" done to him. The election will come down to which group of people is best spread amongst the states that matter to winning a presidency, if I understand it right.

The only way the GOP gets a shoo-in is if they run another nominee that qualifies as an old fashioned conservative - with a spotless record, in terms of not being on the record saying or doing non-PC stuff. No scandals, no ***** grabbing, that sort of thing. If they can find someone like that, and beat a message of unity into their heads, then yes, I would say it would be a shoo-in. Otherwise, who can guess how it will go....lol....I mean, I know what I'm rooting for, but … hehe … as 2016 proved, surprises should be expected.

Weird; I'm positive I was talking about Colbert, his bias, and the reasons for it, the topic of the thread. If you take it as "just" "liberal-bashing," I'd say I'm sorry for your delicacy, but I'm simply not.

The solidly-polarized ones are not the ones who decide elections.

I said specifically Trump isn't a shoo-in.

Colbert is just a partisan hack liar, nothing else. President Trump never put "kids in cages," crap like that.

You know, I've met come across many people who lie constantly and always fancy themselves the smartest people in the room. trump is one, and you're another.

You and I both know what's going on here with your extreme right-wing bias. You and trix are "colluding" :)

You're being intellectually dishonest.

Ciao'

Trix, you have to let it go. It's comedy! It's really simple why there are no good conservative comedians. Conservatives do funny things, but when they attempt humor, it falls very flat.

IMO, of course.

Like Leno, I think the world of comedy is too infused with politics. It's become dark, uncivil.

Believe me, I let it go by turning the channel.

The thread is not about us.
Notice how everyone who is attempting to make it about me personally is being ignored?
No way could you sincerely call me intellectually dishonest nor could you honestly call me a right wing extremist. So don't.

Agree to disagree?

Which is what I do when something that disturbs me comes on TV - such as "The Kardashians"!

I called Harshaw "intellectually dishonest" and I stand behind what I said. I called you, biased, because you bashed ThoughtEx and "liked" Harshaws post.

I stand behind what I did fully with a clear conscience, Trix.

I did not mean to offend you. I'm just calling things as I see them.

Dude, I'm doing exactly what I said I'm doing. That it bothers you doesn't make me "dishonest."

Go make some more awkward sex posts. They seem to score you the most attention.

Ah... and there it is :)

The personal attacks begin. It's what you do! I guess you're not as intelligent as I thought you were. You can't just debate - you have to attack when you're called on your crap.

I'm disappointed, but not shocked.

Have fun with your liberal hatefulness.

Good grief. It's you who called me "intellectually dishonest" and impugned my motivations, going so far as accuse me and Trix of "collusion," but I refer to your posts, and suddenly I'm making "personal attacks." And then you immediately insult my "intelligence."

Do you have anything to say about the topic? If not, your presence here is worthless.

So only talk about what you want to talk about. Sounds like a Trumpette.

Bias in the world of comedy has reached a new bottom.
It's not even funny anymore because it lacks civility...
lol

News flash! Comedians have made fun of politicians across the political spectrum for decades (if not centuries). Almost every politician learns they have to lean into it. Some even get in on the act. I'd say the refusal to realize how badly comedians went after Democrats in recent years is classic snowflake / victim thinking.

I'd add that you have to be rather naive to believe that late night TV hosts ought to be, let alone are, the apex of decorum in 2019.

And yeah, Colbert is right. Trump's refusal to get a dog is definitely proof that he is unfit for office. :lamo

Further to my previous comment, you were saying about civility?

I wasn't being humorous.
I'm being serious.

Look at the way they are carrying on about the Mueller report...

.

Yeah, you did.

I think you are wrong, and that is why I also think the world of comedy is continuing with their dark brand of political banter that would only appeal to those wishing Trump would take a flying leap off the nearest bridge. They are a big part of the leftist media's propagandized fear mongering machine.

I don't know. I think cons are very funny. For example 5 deferment cadet fake bone spurs is a complete joke.

No. There's a lot that can happen between now and then, and Trump gets in his own way quite often.

I think the billion for the wall is progress and appeases his base. Plus, the good economy presently, the collusion hoax/obstruction of justice all works in Trumps favor.
Plus, I think the upcoming investigation into the political hoax works in Trump's favor.

I don't see how the world of comedy can find humor in any of the above.
He's a ***** grabber, blah, blah, doesn't phase them.

His base isn't enough to win by itself.

What "upcoming investigation"?

He had 4 student deferments which succeeded one health deferment. Plus, he had the luck of the draw, a very high draft number.
Oh the ****ing horrors!

There's some conservative humor for you.

His base isn't enough to win by itself.

Never said it was. The good news I stated above might win back independents. What do the Democrats have to offer that is better? Trump sucks?
If there is not a recession, I think it will be smooth sailing for Trump for 2020. Plus, today I heard Trump say they are reintroducing healthcare as a key issue on their agenda.

What "upcoming investigation"?
