Is he a non-propagandist on Fox like Chris Wallace?
 
Shep has been with FOX since 2007 I believe. Nice to see him thank many people at FOX who have helped him.
He shared the award with them!

I just watched the entire acceptance speech and I didn't hear him say anything negative at all about the network.

Could you point out where in the video exactly, that Smith "reamed the living crap" out of Fox News?

Actually, he has been with the network since it debuted back in 1996.

I could not agree with you more. Not sure what he watched? Shep seemed very gracious to all at FOX who have helped him
over the many years! Great job Shep
 
Shep Smith is one of the few news media personalities that I actually respect nowadays. Keeping him around is one of the few things Fox News has done that I agree with. If he has been around this long I don't see him being forced out anytime soon.

Winston, Dana...I will never understand why he remains where he is, except that maybe he believes he's compensating for their multitude of sins. I'd like to imagine he would be welcome at any outfit.

That is true, but maybe he thinks at another network he wouldn't "stand out" quite as much. Also, he seems to be able to run his show the way he wants without too much interference, which isn't always the case. I would like to know why Fox News keeps him on, though. Maybe it is just because Shep has been with Fox since the beginning and has earned the people's respect there on a personal level. Or maybe there is a substantial number of viewers who only tune into Fox to watch Shep. I know my parents fall into that group.

What reason would he have not to stay with Fox News?

Far too many people conflate the political entertainment (aka political opinion shows) at Fox with their news divisions. They are 2 separate entities that are managed and staffed by different people. Unlike the political opinion shows which are very heavily slanted to the right, the network's hard news coverage is as centrist and as credible, as you'll find anywhere. Just watch Special Report Monday thru Friday at 6PM Eastern and see for yourself.

The 1500 (Eastern) time slot seems inappropriate for Shepard Smith, imo.
 
One of only three respectable on-air employees at Fox News -- Chris Wallace, Bret Baier, Shepard Smith.

#1, He is allowed to create his own content with his staff. There is no party line. He's mostly straight news on the afternoon slot. He is not an opinion guy.
#2, News anchors make a good salary, he's got a lot of seniority and a good following. A meager $10 million salary at the number one station buys a lot of Xanax.
#3, Roger Ailes died, and management is more accepting of his being gay.

Fox is paying shep ...Fox knows who he is and WHAT he is (their fair and balanced stuff).....like a good Liberal...Shep will never criticize the folks paying him...***What Shep will do is is attack president Trump and other conservatives...using twist...spin and lies.......Shep belongs on CNN...

Even Chris Wallace...smellsheps leftist hate...deceit...twist and Ignorance...Of Trump and the American people who voted for Trump.

I've been waiting for a replay from him, or any one of the 6 others that 'liked' his post, for more than 26 hours now.

Understand...and thats between you and him...But....Shep has been getting very bold lately....It would be nice if Fox dropped Shep...and sent him packing to CNN where he BELONGS....There he can Babble all he wants and spread all the..."twist" and lies he wants...
 
Mr. Smith is OK. Congratulations to him.

But he seems to have an attitude of: "I'm not like those biased FOX commentators. I am objective and impartial in reporting the news. I am virtuous, am I not?"


This goody-two-shoes approach grates on me.
 
fox is a propaganda distribution network. being a token voice of objectivity on that channel only helps it to continue pretending.
