The Left Lies About Trump Lying...

He came closer with this one. There's no question that he's directed the phrase toward the media many times

"There is great anger in our Country caused in part by inaccurate, and even fraudulent, reporting of the news. The Fake News Media, the true Enemy of the People, must stop the open & obvious hostility & report the news accurately & fairly. That will do much to put out the flame..."

No cigar, bro.

Ya real fat.
Both the Osmonds' toothy, white smiles always reminded me of a loaf of white Wonder Bread.

Wonderful...

Yes he gets a fact, a place, a number wrong now and then. He engages in hyperbole now and then. As as is the case with many Type A extroverted people, he often thinks out loud--verbally or on Twitter or whatever--posing 'what if' questions or something he is thinking about or considering.

Intellectually honest people allow others such inconsequential errors of unimportant facts and go with what the speaker intends to say. Trump haters do not make such allowances. It isn't the point he is making they focus on, but rather the unimportant error in a number or some such that they blow into a monumental lie when it wasn't at all. Or they put his question or consideration out as specific policy along with their own twist that they put on everything he says to make it something they can attack but that he obviously never intended.

Almost all of the criticism of that sort of the President is made up out of whole cloth and it is done maliciously and viciously and they don't care who gets hurt.

They didn't do that to Obama or Hillary of course. But Obama and Hillary had the right letter after their names.

Quoted for truth.

The media's reaction to the apparently false BuzzFeed story before Mueller called it inaccurate is more then enough demonstration that the media's mission in life is to destroy Trump. That being said, Trump does give them ample legitimate opportunities to do so when he steps in it up to his knees, but that doesn't excuse the frequent times when the media doesn't vet an damaging anonymous source story sufficiently, which really is their obligation to do so.

I won't excuse or justify the President in those times he is rather thoughtless, petty, sometimes cringe worthy. I very much wish he wouldn't do that.

But then again, there are times that the haters accuse him when I can see that he is dumb like a fox, i.e. is deliberately throwing them bait that most in the mainstream media will intentionally misinterpret, over-react to, rewrite into something really stupidly false, and thereby exposing themselves for the unprofessional, hateful, political hacks that they have become. Sometimes it is positively brilliant. It is the only weapon he has to blunt the effects of a media out to destroy him because he is not one of the permanent political class. And he has the wrong letter after this name. And they hate him for that.

And as for the thoughtless, petty, and cringe worthy occasions that he actually creates, they are a small price to pay for a President who has the right vision, and is able to see the goals and objectives necessary to achieve it. For a President who has done more to keep his campaign promises than any President in my lifetime. For a President who actually wants to accomplish great things for America instead of just talking about it in order to get elected.

Fair. As am I, wishing he wouldn't be rather thoughtless, petty, or cringe worthy, but at this point, it's pretty much 'baked into the cake'.

Agreed. The media have taken on the 'destroy Trump at all costs, and by any means necessary', and seemingly all too willingly and dishonestly.

Agreed.

Do you think that the Left makes up any lies about Trump... trying to state that he lies, or is racist, etc.?

If you go back to the source many use for the "lyingest president", or whatever they want to claim, it boils down to a handful of statements, the majority of which are exaggerations, or differing opinions and how many times the claim was reported... but they are pieced together by the same media that "fact checked" his statement that the burgers were stacked "a mile high". If we counted the media lies and overstatements that way, they'd be in the millions at this in the Trump presidency.

Do you know why Don Lemon was voted worst journalist of the years in 2014?
:lamo

People on both sides seem to have turned all of this into some sort of bizarre contest of tit-for-tats. 'Who's lying, who's not lying'. There are only two things, truth and lies. It really shouldn't be that difficult for anyone to be able to verify whether what someone says is the truth or a lie.

I never used to watch Chris Cuomo but I have been won over as a fan and for only one reason. He always presents both sides by having a pro-Trump contributor discussing one topic with an anti-Trump contributor. Cuomo sits in the middle of the split-screen between the two, almost like a referee or moderator. Chris Cuomo will instantly agree with truths, "that's true" "I agree" but he will instantly call out a misrepresentation of the truth or outright lies, "that's not true", and he will prove it's not true with facts. I really like this style of reporting, it's totally equal and balanced on both sides.

whatever...
I can't stop you from making stupid claims, nor can I train your brain to actually function.
Bye...

You have been talking about Donnie and Marie for the past ten posts or so after you didn't actually make a case for anything AND after I did not make any claims about anything and you talk about my brain function?

I said "Yes."
You asked for proof.
I showed you proof.
Then you went off on some unbelievably silly tangent.
Get a grip on yourself.

Gonna start talking about Donnie and Marie now?

No...I think I'll just ignore you.

Ya can't fix "stupid"...

You used stupid as a noun... that does not require quotations...

If you are so incredibly delusional to think that Obama, or for that matter any previous president, was anywhere near as dishonest as Trump is on a daily basis, then you are not holding Trump accountable.

Seeing as I still am holding him as such, an opinion shaded as a lie. Is still all you've got to muster at this point.

Besides, I'm not arguing who's lies are greater. Because such an argument would be totally asinine.

Statistics can be argued and debated and interpreted differently, having a different opinion isn't lying. What Trump does is an order of magnitude different to that.
When did a politician last lie about where he was? As I said last week he randomly tweeted that he was in the Oval office, but there was no guard on the West Wing (indicating the President is there) until half an hour later, He had no rational reason to do that but he just did. I honestly don't know if he just says what comes into his head on the fly, or he actually doesn't reember, or he just doesn't give a ****, any of those is corrosive to good government.

Either he was on his way to the oval office, or didn't even manage to make it there. But if your only response is to bitch about a tweet. Then you've actually managed to come to this with less ammo than I thought you would.

I don't care for tweets. Ever since it became common practice and a legitimate tactic to even call for someone's assassination on that platform, without any real repercussions to speak of. Many people have just written twitter off as something other then a form of platform for conversation. Yes, this includes everyone taking everything that is being said out of context. Making literal pages worth of fake accounts and just resorting to blatant lies to suit their own needs.

Something that we've seen both sides do.
