CNN’s Jim Acosta mocked for accidentally proving that border walls work

Exactly. That's one of the sections to be improved.

You are basically just another uninformed denilist.

You misspelled realist. I live in a border state and I've been following the border issues for decades. That includes this new build a wall Mexico will pay nonsense. I've been a supporter on much of Trumps actions, the wall has not been one of them. He's gone from MY president, to questioning why can't he just be honest and represent the entire country. I've grown tired of having to make up complete bs to have him be the "greatest potuse ever".

And before I hear the "you wan't open borders" line, no I don't. I'm very much against people coming here and not attempting to make themselves legal.

Was your door locked? Did you advertise to the world that you never lock your door and there will be no consequence if they do break in and rewards if they do?

OK, I see my point was way over your head. Let me slow this way the **** down so you can understand: just as no one breaking into my house over the space of two hours does not prove that walls are unnecessary, no one going over, under or through a short section of wall in a couple minutes while a TV crew is there is not proof that hundreds of miles of wall will work to keep people out. I know, that is a really complex idea, but take it slow and I am sure you can figure it out...

Then why did you think that fence/ditch wasn't a deterrent? [I think it is and could be better]

What exactly do you mean "people coming here and not making themselves legal"? Do you believe it's OK to sneak in as long as they later tell someone?

IMO, once they cross the border without permission, that's criminal trespass....a crime that can get a person shot in TX.

Its always so cute when you make ridiculous points that dont work and then have actual points that DO apply blow up in your face only to have you say "obviously you didnt get my point...see...what I mean is........"

Security is always about time delay. So you are saying you can scale a 30 foot wall exactly as fast as you can take one step on open ground? Is that your claim?

I could break into any jewelry store and cut open any safe with tools I have. So could millions of other people. So why do you think jewelry stores have barriers against breaking in and safes? In your logic, they are absolutely worthless and don't even slow a person down allowing time for law enforcement to get on the scene. All security is about delay, not absolute prevention.

I'll pick a spot along that wall and start climbing while you start breaking into that store. At the same time someone tells the cops what you're doing and where and the border agents what I'm doing and where. Who's about to be grabbed?
If that wall is the same as pictured for 30' when I was a young connector it would have taken me about 10 seconds, maybe 15, to climb it. Today, it might take me twice that and I'll be sucking wind through my arsehole but I'll get up it. Sliding down the other side happens not quite as fast as gravity. In other words, I'm up this side and down the other in less time than it takes to make the 'phone call.

Or it could be I showed how stupid the logic of the original post was...

You libs with all your, it could be, mayby, might be, I think, I suppose, etc etc.

I'll stick with my original statement, you really don't think people with a house full of expensive goodies are not robbed now and them. You mean thieves don't exist.

The point was clear. The concept of the OP is obviously stupid. It is not even a subjective thing, it is totally objective: the idea that because no one did something during a 2 minute segment does not prove that no one will do that. This is not rocket surgery. I am sorry it is so confusing to you.

I can buy 100' of rope for less than $30 at HD. I expect people to follow the necessary steps to be here legally.

I never claimed that people do not get robbed. RIF, Reading Is Fundamental.

No one broke into my house while I was gone today. Proof you don’t need a wall...

I passed a Jared jewelry store earlier today. There was no wall around it. I guess that means I can just walk into it after it closes.

Great then you agree people get robbed, and those people that get robbed, how should they protect themselves from being robbed again. Or how about being killed by an illegal, or not being killed by the drugs that illegals bring across the border. How about the underage girls being brought in to the US illegally and being sold to the sex trade. Or how should people protect themselves from MS13 butchering you.

Looking at this chart, I'd say there something happening along the border. You decide if it's a crisis or not.

Yeah you could if they left the door open. No different than you crossing the border illegally with just a line in the sand for a border. You walk right in.

But could you climb that rope? 80

Rope climbing has never been difficult for me so yes. As I get older I wouldn't be as fast as my high school days, but still, yes.

The boy/man Acosta makes a giant fool of himself again! Thank Jimmy for showing what
a a** wipe you are!

CNN’s Jim Acosta mocked for accidentally proving that border walls work

“Jim Acosta just posted one of the biggest self owns ever,” social media strategist Caleb Hull responded. ‘He's walking along the border where there's a wall in place talking about how there's nothing that ‘resembles a national emergency situation’ and ‘there's no migrants trying to rush.’ That's because there's a wall, Jim.”

Just go binge watch Narcos or watch El Chapo on Netflix. Come back when you realize just how clever and determined they are to breach any obstacle. My lord.

The whole outside of your home minus the roof, doors and windows are walls.

"I'm ready for my profile Mr. Stelter" - Jim Acosta while voguing for the camera

I'm north of 60 and I could climb 30' of wall that looked like that. Like I said elsewhere, a class of apprentice structural Ironworkers would make a game of it, racing each other. Hell, if you're in decent physical shape It would take me 10 or 15 minutes to teach you to climb that wall.

But you don't live in the San Diego area where I do live, so please save your sales pitch for someone else.

Hope you're having a good day on an island on the left coast of Canada!

Well those on the line there in charge of border security disagree with you. They want barriers put up. Tonight on the border the patrol in Texas they said they could have had a better chance of stopping all the dope crossing the border if they had barriers. Once it hits the streets it is traced back to how it got across and onto our streets for sale. Right there in Texas they recently traced back 550 pounds of dope that got across the Texas border where there are no barriers.

I am getting reminded of how we have generally ignored the experts at forest management over the last 20-30 years, and now look at where we are!

The failure to invest, and failure to invest wisely as we keep on Eagle Eye one the truth tends to get charged by the Universe.

You mean those forest experts that warn about dry brush and dead trees need to be removed from the forest and surrounding areas prior to the yearly drought conditions in those areas? The forest management that warn that trees laying across lines that need to be removed because of the threat of just a spark could cause a fire? The forest management that warns a spark from a damn lawnmower due to the dry conditions can cause a fire yet the politicians in charge turn a deaf ear?

edit- yes the same fecklessness involved in not controling forest fires is the same fecklessness of the same morons when it comes to controlling the border.

So people who don't live in border states such as you or I don't have a right to voice where they see issues? I happen to agree that scaling a wall of that height isn't a super hero task.

The whole wall idea is silly. Just have Obama go and spray paint a red line in the sand and surely no one will cross it.
