Sounds more plausible. When interviewing a lying snake you really do have to ask more than once. Damn right Ivanka's answer was not satisfactory because she claimed she did not break white house protocol. That was a lie.

I suppose when Trump surrogates and possibly the president himself get hauled before congress, for much more serious allegations, asking the same question twice will be considered 'bias'.

Imagine that conversation:

(Warning, fantasy projection ahead)

Booker: Did you instruct your son to attend the Trump tower meeting?

DJT: Well it's a beautiful tower, who wouldn't want a meeting there, first class tower, if you look at what they did with it.

Booker: Yes Mr President, but did you send your son or any other staff to that meeting?

DJT: There were meetings, everyone has meetings. If you look at what people are saying it's meetings, meetings everywhere. So many beautiful meetings.

Booker: I'll ask one more time sir, did you order anyone to attend that meeting?

DJT: And just so we're clear there was no meeting. Not that I knew of and if I'd known about it it wouldn't have been a meeting anyway. That's why they call me 'No Meeting Donald', I don't know if you knew that, but that's what they're calling me these days...

Booker: Mr President one more time, the meeting?

DJT: Get me out of here...

Reporters only re-ask a question when they either failed to get an answer the first time, or got an answer that was incomplete. Roberts got a full and complete answer to her question, but obviously that answer didn't conform to her political leanings otherwise she wouldn't have asked it again.

I don't understand how you can claim it's perfectly normal when a reporter repeats a politically charged question to someone, immediately after they received a full and complete answer to that question. That's not only not the norm, but it's down right rude and unprofessional as far as I'm concerned.

You have stated this multiple times. Obviously I disagree with you. Ivanka sat for an interview and gave a prepared statement which doesn't actually line up with her previous statements. She got asked a question a second time. Horrors of horrors. Do you plan to get over this any time soon?

Then at the 1:42 mark in the clip, as if Roberts was on another planet an didn't hear a word Ivanka said, displayed her political agenda by attempting to defend Hillary Clinton and portray Donald Trump as a hypocrite, by basically repeating the same question she just asked Ivanka and Ivanka had answered. This time though, Roberts pushed the hypocrite angle even harder:


"but your father hammered Hillary Clinton on this. Said that it was criminal, she should be locked up. How was it wrong for her but not for you?"


I couldn't believe my ears... It reminded me of that ridiculous interview of Jordan Peterson done by Cathy Newman of the BBC.

Well said Grim7. This guy, who was NEVER a "GOP anything" lost this discussion after the third volley, yet he keeps digging the hole deeper.

I understand that your only function on this board is centered on spreading hatred of all things Trump, but there's no need to resort to dishonesty to achieve this. You are either capable of an honest discussion on this topic or you are not. If you are, than address it... If you are not, then I suggest you stop portraying yourself in such a dishonest light, show a little integrity, and move on to another thread.
