'It disturbs me to my core': Fox News staffers express outrage over Hannity's rally appearance

Feel free to distinguish the difference and why 1 is acceptable and the other isnt

If I remember correctly, I objected to the “media is biased and evil” notion based on the view of how networks handled the debates. Not much of a problem with a rally being biased, since that is their purpose.

Bias I will agree with. Evil is subjective. My point was that if you have no objection to when a moderator injects them self into a debate by arguing a point of view during a presidential debate, you have no room to object to someone praising the president.

Isn’t it the purpose of a good question in a debate to challenge the candidates with another point of view?: “Mr. Senator/President/whoever, you say ABC, but your own energy department says XYZ”... or am I misunderstanding you?

Two things are certain after Midterms. Expect to see even more Trump craziness. Expect to see more people leave Fox News (perhaps for WH jobs).

CNN, are you surprised they are bashing anything Trump. Hannity is a commentator and an open Trump Supporter. You know just like Chris Mattheus with a thrill up his leg over Obamafail. CNN is nothing more than a Trump bashing machine using fantom informants.

OK so if that's OK why was what Hannity did wrong?

When you get a chance watch Trumps press conference today. Him and Jim Acosta got into it good today.

Are they actually pretending to be surprised by their strong right lean? Did they not notice that Hannity was Trump's remote fluffer for the last few years? How....nauseating. Explicit public worship at a rally was inevitable.

Shepard Smith is more or less the only one who focuses on Trump/GOP wrongdoings at times, and they likely keep him on so they can point to him.

He and Don Lemon were fighting for position on their knees under the podium.

Point me to a time when Wolf Blitzer appeared on stage with Obama giving him hugs and high fives. I bet you can't.

He was in a difficult situation when Trump invited him up on the stage. But you might want to check the FOX network's comments on his actions. As odious as I think Limbaugh and Hannity are, if I were advising them I would suggest they stay away from those situations, as I think it is important -- despite their obvious bias -- to maintain the veneer of journalism rather than coming across as hacks. Leave that to party officials.

We didn't have to wait long for Trump craziness. Saw a clip this am (and forgive me if I missed something more that changes the tone of what he said) where Trump is ridiculing some republicans who lost, claiming it was because they distanced themselves from him, naturally ignoring those who embraced him who lost. This is giving dickishness and narcissism a bad name. The man is ill.

But as we just discussed you're perfectly fine when it's a liberal journalist playing moderator in a presidential debate that begins to debate the Republican candidate.

This is why I don't care the journalists on the left openly take sides all the time and people on the left have no issue with it what-so-ever. Now some left wing journalist wants to write an article full of anonymous sources suggesting I should be upset with a conservative talk show host showing his open bias. It's so dumb to suggest such a thing it is an insult to my intelligence.

I watched it and Acosta makes a fool of himself every time there is a press conference, with Sanders or Trump makes no difference.

I thought trump was great when he dressed him down.

I always have to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.

Fox News vs. ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN

It does exemplify the Unthinking Left's thought process.... If enough dummies get together to agree, then it's the lone smarty pants who doesn't know WTF he's talking about, no matter what facts are presented.

Sorry but I don't know what you are talking about. If you gave me an example of the question and showed that s/he lobbed softballs at the other candidate, perhaps I would understand. But it just sounds like more "enemy of the people" stuff.

Don’t think Hannity was unprofessional, as he is an apologist for Trump. Speaking at the rally was over the top according to FOX. But I dont get your outrage. The moderator appeared to correct the record, even as she supported some of what Romney said about the amount of time it took Obama to make the pronouncement, which notion was absurd.

This theme has been a conservative trope since Nixon, or Agnew’s “nattering nabobs of negativism.” US media has reflected US politics: inwardly focused, until recently, with the end of the Cold War, fairly unsophisticated about international news where that was an issue. If Trump doesn’t want the media to report on stupid racially tinged comments, he should stop making those comments and stop blaming the messenger. The guy admitted last week that there was no evidence that Middle Easterners were in the infamous caravan. Is the media at fault for reporting that idiocy?

It wasn't her role to "correct the record". It was up to Obama to respond. She took it upon herself to put herself into the debate. It was inappropriate.

I'm not sure why you go on to talk about Trump. I thought we were discussing journalists behavior?

Don’t agree. If it was an agreed upon fact, no problem with her moving the discussion along. But that’s it?

And as I noted, journalists become the target for politicians who don’t like to face reality. I interacted with dozens of them in professionally, and found them far more honorable than politicians.

Yep, no bias there. Imagine if Rachel Maddow campaigned with Hillary Clinton. Right-wing nuts would simultaneously **** themselves while their heads exploded over the "biased media". Such hypocrites.
... not really. Maddow already uses her platform to campaign for liberals such as Hillary, while Hannity already uses his platform to campaign for Trump.

Our point about biased media isn't do much the Maddows of the world, who, like Trump, wear their team affiliation on their shoulder. It's the journalists pretending not to be on a team who are.

Its no different than when liberals host debates and shill for the democrat on the stage. The liberal media has made careers out of it so why the outrage over a republican doing it to?

Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

Please tell me which journalists got up on stage at a democrat rally and actively campaigned for the democrat candidate?

And Willie Nelson doesn't count. Wanna know why? Cos Willie is NOT A JOURNALIST!

A moderator sitting far away from the candidates asking questions is NOT the same as a journalist up on the stage cheering on trump and joining in the chanting of 'LOCK HER UP'.

Please tell me when Rachel Maddow got up on stage at a Hillary campaign rally and shook her hand, pumped her fist and joined in the chanting?
