Shepard Smith Spars With Chris Wallace

Christ I can put a Trump bumper sticker on the back of my car and some asshole liberal may ram me off the road, trying to kill me. Are we now prohibited from using bumper stickers? You want to limit free speech, not surprising. There has been attacks on people just wearing the MAGA red hat. Are we now prohibited from wearing a Trump MAGA hat. The power of a hat and a bumper sticker has no bounds in getting people to result to violence.

The wrong here is not the red hat or the bumper sticker or the rhetoric getting out the word of your policies that many on the opposing side will kill to stop. It is the individual that did the violent act who is going to be arrested. Not the person exercising his/her free speech rights. There is no connection from one to the other. A simple red hat or a bumper sticker can bring people to become violent. And you want to put blame on them for wearing a red hat and having a bumper sticker. Get out of here.

That's not the point I've made at all. I don't want to restrict anyone's free speech, and as I posted in the thread about a Trump supporter having their hat knocked off, it isn't acceptable behavior. What I'm saying is what leaders say can influence how people react and what they're emboldened to carry out, and while the individual is ultimately responsible, you're giving leaders a free pas about their responsibility in what they say.

And what I'm saying, I can have a bumper sticker of TRUMP on my car and get run off the road by some wacko liberal who hates anyone for Trump. And I never said a word. I could have the RED Hat on minding my own business and get attacked. So am I supposed to not have a bumper sticker or wear a red hat? Should Trump not wear a MAGA red hat?

All valid questions, and similar ones minorities have brought up when attacked for what they wear or who they are. It's a bad idea to take it upon yourself to attack someone because you don't agree about something with another person. The animus Trump faces is partly self inflicted though.

Surprise you hate Trump. But say nothing about Sanders who has a follower that tried to kill for Sanders policies. Hillary said we can't be civil, Holder when they go low we kick them. You lefties walk around with a decapitated head of Trump and say nothing, Waters says to get in their face and call them out no matter where they are. Trump is Hitler, he has committed Treason. Christ I could go forever citing these leftist comments inciting violence, so much so that a person wearing a red hat gets attacked.

I don't hate anyone, I just think he's an obnoxious and crass opportunist. I base this from years of being aware of his public persona. I had hoped as president he would of stepped up to the occasion, but he just remained the same. That wasn't a surprise though since he had an audience who approved of his behavior. I've spoken out against the same type of rhetoric from "the left" because none of it is useful; all it does is perpetuate the "left" vs "right" nonsense.

The notion that a politicians' rhetoric doesn't catalyze behavior is preposterous. The whole point of their campaigning utterances is to do exactly that. Sure, most of them don't intend to catalyze violent behavior, but that they don't intend such doesn't mean their remarks do not catalyze such. It's positively irresponsible for a pol to be ignorant of that possibility, and, frankly, most pols are cognizant of their remarks' ability to inspire among their disciples unacceptable behavior.

Pols' comprehension of that risk coupled with their valuing public order imbues them innately with the savvy not to engender such comportment by asserting or implying that violence in any way, shape or form will meet with their approbation. Eschewing "hot" rhetoric of that sort is something Trump lacks the sense do....and this past week or so, we've witnessed how his political naivete, insouciance and selfishness' primacy over the good of the country puts Americans -- famous and not so -- at risk literally of bodily harm.

Finally a reasonable response to an unreasonable post. Well said!

Shepard Smith needs to go to CNN. He is so obviously a left leaning liberal. It wouldn't matter if he was a opinion pundit but for a guy who likes to talk about being a journalist and covering the news impartially it is a joke. His guest on his "news" show are almost always anti-Trump and he agues with anyone who doesn't agree with his point of view, or who supports conservative or pro-Trump positions. Chris Wallace put him in his place on the news cast and Smith got belligerent, he is not used to his guest calling him out on things he says

The "chair throwing" incident? BwaaaHAHAHAHAHA...OMG stop stretching, you'll snap something, and then you'll have to use your TrumpCare.

Thank you for your fine example.

Left-Wing Violence Ramps Up As Election Nears — And Dems Yawn

"In Nevada, police arrested a left-wing operative for assaulting Kristin Davison, who is the campaign manager for gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt.

"He grabbed my right arm, my leg was lodged between the door and the wall. He twisted my arm, and contorted it behind my back," Davison said. "I was scared. Every time I tried pulling away, he would grab tighter, and pull me closer into him."

The alleged assailant, Wilfred Stark, had been charged in March with assaulting another woman, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's spokesperson, outside a congressional hearing room."

"In Minnesota, a man punched state representative Sarah Anderson in the arm after she confronted him for destroying Republican campaign yard signs.

"He was charging at me, saying, 'Why don't you go kill yourself?' " she told the Washington Free Beacon."

"Meanwhile, Sen. Susan Collins received a threatening letter at her home that contained a substance the letter writer claimed was ricin poison. The letter mentioned her vote to confirm Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Collins had been on the receiving end of a multitude of threats before announcing her support.

"I will not live in fear," she said in response, "I will not be intimidated.""

"In Minnesota, state representative candidate Shane Mekeland suffered a concussion after getting sucker punched in the face at a restaurant because of his political views.

Violent "Antifa" leftists vandalized the Metropolitan Republican Club in Manhattan because it had an invited a fringe-y anti-Antifa activist to speak. The attackers also left a note warning that "Our attack is merely a beginning. We are not passive, we are not civil, and we will not apologize.""

Rap Sheet: ***639*** Acts of Media-Approved Violence and Harassment Against Trump Supporters

"the media are desperate to normalize and justify violence and harassment"

Then knowing the power rhetoric can have, why push the type that can bring out the dark side of people? Are you saying what leaders say has no impact on their audience?

Why does the leftwing MSM, press, Democratic Party politicians and talking heads do that?

It's not just them; Fox News is in the same boat. None of them are out there putting stories out because they care about informing people; it's all about getting ratings and ad sales for their time slots. The result is the echo chambers we have now.

Smith is an ignorant homo. He should just go hang out with Don Lemon and shut up
