Megyn Kelly Fired?

For real.

Or how they are trying to downplay what she said:

Diana Ross is not a 'character' she is a person and you can dress like her without painting your face. Not that hard to understand given the context of the history of blackface.

Could you explain what was racist about her comment.

She is trying to justify blackface where there is no justification.

Your acting naive about it either tells me you have no idea about the history of blackface and need to educate yourself or you're a racist too and just won't admit it.

She wasnt trying to justify anything and you didnt bother to explain what was racist about what she said. Obviously, like every other leftist, you havent got a clue as to what racism is. You just throw it around because you lack the ability to put a rational thought out there.

lmao okay Fletch. In your world it's okay to paint your face black and dress up like Diana Ross because she is the same thing as a character. She was trying to justify that by saying she doesn't know how it's racist to paint your face black on Halloween and you are trying to act like it's acceptable too.

I bet though you wouldn't paint yourself black and if you want to be honest you know why.

Attempt number 3: What is racist about it? Try and collect your thoughts and come up with a coherent, intelligent response before hitting the 'post' button.

Again, Fletch given the historical context of the use of blackface it is racist to paint your face black to portray a black person.

Megyn Kelly tried justify the use of blackface by saying it's okay as long as you are portraying a character then she defended someone who used blackface to dress us as Diana Ross. Diana Ross is a black person, she is not a character.

Now would you paint your face black, why or why not?

If I was going out for Halloween as Obama, I would darken my face. That doesnt make me a racist any more than dressing up like a woman would make me sexist.

The number one tactic of racist rhetoric is to drop context and never admit it. When a situation becomes about nothing, then anything is okay.

Helluva rebuttal, old sport!

It was all that was necessary. I could have pulled a Kobie and just posted this:  but I felt like spelling it out.

What are you trying to say?

You support racism. Right here. This thread. Like a typical racist, your method is the context drop.

That clear enough?

I think is it a silly issue. I don't watch Megan Kelly, but from the CNN clip it is clear she was talking about Halloween costumes where people want to dress up like their favorite character's or media stars.

She wasn't talking about minstrel shows or other "racist" efforts to make fun of anyone. The fact that Chris Cuomo said "we are talking about Black Face which is different from White face," WTH is that supposed to mean?

I am not a supporter of the "cultural appropriation" narrative. As far as I am concerned as long as the person isn't trying to make a mockery of someone's race or culture, then wearing costumes for Halloween or other party events should not "trigger" automatic animosity.

People need to stop striving to see the worst in everything. Life should not be about seeking offense where none was intended.

Entire identities are being built around victim status with 'intersectionality' promoting totems to it.

That would be because you cant defend your dishonest, ignorant smears.

Of course you pretend that. Who didn't see that coming. When exposed, racist rhetoric abandons the context drop and plays the victim.

I think she herself was trying to get off the show even before the comments were made. She wants to go back to doing more news and less fluff.

She was good at it! Like her politics or FOX or whatever, Kelly was really good at what she did.
"The Kelly File" iirc.

My take fwiw, is that she got "too big for her britches" so to speak, after she became a break away "star" of FOX during Trump's candidacy. If you never watched FOX and never heard of or really paid any attention to Kelly, you certainly did in 2016. Then she wrote a book, went on tour and became an "it" personality.

With her newfound hotness in media, she leveraged what she thought was a better opportunity and here we are, she has the 9am hour of the Today Show.

It never lived up to the hype.

That said, b.s. if she's fired for being honest about the questions she has about what's now acceptable and what's not when it comes to blackface and Halloween. I mean, can we just now assume a white person can NEVER dress as a black person or character?
We all need a playbook updated weekly as to not offend.

Not at all. Dont be a coward. You called me a racist, now back it up or retract it.

Let's be clear.

1. Your BS is racist in the typical method, dropping context.
2. Your rhetoric was called out for what it is.
3. You abandon the context drop and cry victim.

If you believe that makes you a racist, that's your call. I will say, it looks like Stormfront protocol to me.
