Why There Is So Much Negative Trump Coverage

Bull****.

Trump was a target of the same media coverage he is getting today from the moment he came down that escalator. The only difference is once he kicked the rest of the GOP to the curb it intensified and it intensified even more when he kicked Hillary to the curb. And because the media has had zero effect on him, they keep ratcheting up the nonsense.

He never brought it on himself. Ever.

Nowhere in this post did you address the difference in media coverage between Wheeler and Pruitt. Hmm, I wonder why...?

On the few rare occassions when Trump has been presidential, the media has given him a fair shake. I recall, early in his presidency, when he gave a tribute to a slain Navy Seal, CNN gave kudos. I also recall an early State of the Union, where he talked about working together - more kudos from CNN. Trouble is, the next day he started with the anti-Obama tweets about bugging the Trump Tower. He's pathetic, and deserves the negative media coverage that is directed his way.

The negative media coverage started the day he announced his candidacy. And yes...whenever he said something they didn't like, they used every trick in the book to attack him.

I consider them irrelevant.

Many of those on Team Trump love to lament the media's coverage of Trump. "Why are they so biased?!" "Why don't they cover the positive stuff?!" "No Republican has ever been treated so bad!" So on and so forth...

If you want a clue to why then look no further than how the media has treated Andrew Wheeler vs. Scott Pruitt. Andrew Who? That's right. Barely a peep from the media over him. Is he a liberal? Establishment? Well, maybe yes to the latter, but he has pretty much all the same political views as Pruitt. So why the difference in treatment? The reason is he doesn't go out of his way to start a scandal. No $43K soundproof booth, no sending aides to do personal chores, no purchases of used hotel beds.

Trump gets the unusually bad media treatment for the same reason Pruitt got the unusually bad media treatment: He brought it on himself.

To those who insist the media's coverage of trump is unfair this is what I've been saying for 2 years! Absolutely agree. trump's undying lust for constant media coverage is his achilles heel. His problem is that he caters only to 1/3 of the country instead of his entire constituency.

#Truth

and this reality is obvious to all the honest, educated, objective people . . . right, left, center, pro trump, anti trump and neutral.

I have heard people from all walks of life state this obvious reality. Even people that are pro trump have said many times they wish he didn't do what he does in this regard. I guarantee the only people to deny this reality are the most extremist, dishonest nutters out there and they dont have an ounce of integrity or honesty in thier bodies.. that or they are simply extremely ignorant.

I mean seriously, like him or not, are there any honest, educated, objective people out there that think Trump doesn't bring a lot on himself? any? ONE?

And the day after he announce his candidacy - he publicly told Ted Cruz that "My wife is hotter than your wife". I suppose you believe the media should have ignored this comment? Just one of many, many examples...

shrug...

He was right.

Sigh... Regardless, you find this kind of discourse worthy of a president? And this kind of value structure is what our children and grandchildren should idolize? But more on topic, you didn't answer the question of whether the media should cover the topic? And yet you are so quick to criticize the media for covering these kind of tweets. Shrug...

I don't mind the media reporting stuff. What I don't like...and in respect to Trump, it started day one...is the constant negative slant. Trump didn't do anything to warrant that negativity...except be unliked by the media.

"Trump didn't do anything to warrant..." I pointed out an early example, and you never concurred that this example warranted media coverage. You are wearing blinders that totally obstruct your vision.

What part of "I don't mind the media reporting stuff." do you not understand?

Really?? But Ms. Ford did?? Interesting logic.

I'm not the one who used words such as: "Trump didn't do anything to warrant...". If you are going to use absolutes in your arguments, be ready to defend them. But instead, you defend them, by retracting those absolutes, and using more watered-down verbage, such as "I don't mind the media reporting stuff." Capeche?

???

What does Ford have to do with the media's negative coverage of Trump?

Oh...wait...more deflection. Okay.

If all the multimedia and their echo chamber did was report things, for example, "Trump said this", I'd be fine with their coverage. But that's not what they do. They spin everything he says in the most negative manner they can get away with. That's what I don't like.

I don't care if YOU dislike something Trump says, but the media shouldn't be telling you to dislike what he says. It's not their job.

You appear to dislike everything he says...even if he says good things. Much like the media.

I consider them irrelevant.

Of course you do. It contradicts the twisted Trumpcult perspective.

Never mind that the media ignores Wheeler when he holds the same political agenda as Pruitt, easier just to stick fingers in ears yelling, “lalala!” Right?

I remember Joe Scarborough praising him when he gave the most basic generic speech without going off the rails. Roe Conn did the same with his initial comments on Ford. The media has set the bar so incredibly low for the moron and yet his cult screams, “unfair! unfair!”

I won't state that Trump did nothing to provoke negative coverage, but it's also true that the media used all kinds of "dirty tricks" to take constant shots at him, as per the repeated, deliberate misreading of his (admittedly poorly-framed) comments on Charlottesville.

Because these news organizations have nothing better to do....

The media are biased scum. Not a single journalist among them.

"Poorly-framed" comments should not be a part of a presidential administration. This is the leader of our country for goodness sakes. He has numerous writers at his disposal. I do agree that Charlottesville was somewhat overblown. If I remember correctly, however, he never denounced the act of the NeoNazi.

I've been paying close attention since the day he came down his escalator.
