How can anybody dispute what was a topic of discussion as the events were happening? FM, are you in North America? I don't think you are aware that the problem with Brock Turner's photo wasn't that a mugshot was eventually released, it's that the media first released the guy's yearbook picture. Journalists literally called other journalists out on this. It was a real event, it wasn't that a mugshot was ever found that was in discussion, it was why some media agencies decided to go with a yearbook picture when talking about a privileged rapist. This is the exact same situation Calamity cited. The media, purposely portraying a privileged man as a loving father in the most heinous of crimes, and not hesitating to show mugshots of the non-privileged.
You are arguing against an established part of journalistic history. This isn't an arbitrary fact. Are you serious?
