What to Think Today, Courtesy The Washington Post

Trump is not the topic.

The topic is WaPo's 'article' created not to inform but to tell readers how and what to think and their comfort and openness about this purpose by announcing it in the headline.

They clearly believe their typical audience to either be too stupid to notice or too indoctrinated to care that they're selling nothing but propaganda.

So you're mad for the Washington Post doing what you are doing??? And it's analysis not news. Don't like it. Don't read it!

I guess I'll read the article later but I want to preface with my initial reaction to Trump's anniversary tweet:
At this juncture, I've concluded that if his lips are moving, or his thumbs are tweeting, he's lying or signaling.

So it doesn't really matter to me anymore what he says. I don't buy anything he says.
Bob Dylan is noted for saying that Roy Orbison "sang like a professional criminal" but that was just a tongue-in-cheek compliment. In light of Donald Trump, I think Dylan might think otherwise now that we're listening to a REAL criminal who sings day and night.

There are at least a dozen members here on DP (maybe more) who subscribe to an alternate form of history that claim that "liberals are the real racists". Trump's tweet signals to them.

But in the end, I don't even care if he tweets that "dogs wag their tails when they're happy".
I'm double checking the dog from now on.

That's how the Trump hating media works. Spin, speculation, innuendo, hyperbole...and sometimes a fair bit of lying. With those tools, they can turn any simple, reasonable statement into a scandal.

That's Trump's tactic as well, but at some point we need to find a better way otherwise it will be this silly tit for tat scenario.

As well you should since I've seen plenty of growling/snarling dogs wagging their tails.

;)

We learned from the Asshole-in-Chief, it's all in his books.

Naturally we would never get anything like this from Fox or any other right wing outlets! At the very least the WaPo doesn't lie to their readers every single day

Ailes's 1970 memo to Nixon:

"With television, you sit - watch - listen. The thinking is done for you."

WaPo's regular audience has become so dependent on them for forming even rudimentary thoughts that they probably don't even take this as the affront to their basic intellect (what remains of it) that it is...

For those of us with functioning brains more than capable of comprehending the meanings of simple English words, headlines like this only remove the last bit of doubt that WaPo is anything more than politicized propaganda.

Headline:
"How to understand Trump’s condemnation of ‘all types of racism’"

So he basically said the same thing a year ago and got blasted then as he is getting now. Not sure if anything has changed on either end of the discussion, so what's the point, same arguements as then, in other words
Wash
Rinse
Repeat

Don't lie. As a media guy, you know the truth. You were doing this decades before Trump. But after he kicked Hillary to the curb, you stepped up your game.
