Trump refuses question from CNN in UK, calls them fake news on camera[W:16]

Re: Trump refuses question from CNN in UK, calls them fake news on camera

Hi Chomsky - can't speak to comparisons, since I don't watch any other American networks, although I used to watch Wallace on FOX on Sunday mornings since I considered him to be truly "fair and balanced", but I don't even watch that anymore since the Trump election - everything being Trump-centric is really offputting, at least for me. Goes along with the fact I'm seldom on this site much anymore since the Trump election, for the same reasons.
Hey John, long time no see. Thanks for the shout-out.

I'm a political junkie, but even I'm getting tired of a lot of aspects of the politics, not just the more extreme partisanship aspects of it, but way to is being injected into and seemingly permeating every aspect of our society.

Re: Trump refuses question from CNN in UK, calls them fake news on camera

The game has changed, definitely.
I wish fools like Acosta would change their calculus, but he knows he has the WH over a barrel. He should have his Press credentials revoked, but if that happened, Acosta would Neymar outlandishly to signal his victimhood.

here's the thing though, they (CNN) high five each other after stunts like this, THEY actually think they're winning this debate.. :)

Ya but until the final stages of it Corporate Germany LOVED Hitler. They elected him and backed him up.

Okay...

Re: Trump refuses question from CNN in UK, calls them fake news on camera

Please boil it down to a few thoughts in a couple sentences.

My point is that deregulating government control and lowering taxes is not the act of a guy trying to centralize power and control his countrymen.

You seem to believe that the act of reducing control increases control.

Why do you think that?

Speaking of faults.... He lost the Queen!

Hus' gotta comment...thanks that was funny.

Re: Trump refuses question from CNN in UK, calls them fake news on camera

We often see politicians simply ignoring questions from the media, sometimes because they don't have the time, or they simply don't want to answer. It is their choice. Making comments about fake news, while exiting for some, could set a pattern for future interactions. Obama kinda tried back in the day, it didn't go over well. We shouldn't applaud Trump for it now.

But that's the point...isn't it.
America elected a leader who would literally give voice to the frustration the public feels.
Think about this...
Half of the American voting public, chose "The Donald" over a seasoned politician...granted it was the worst one they could have set-up to slaughter but...just think of the raw implications of that. Hell I wish Canada had a leader who was able to express MY frustrations here in Canuck-land. Being that I'm in Ontario, maybe Doug Ford will fit the bill. But I digress...

Half of the US voting public IS applauding his actions. It's exactly why they voted for him.

Globalization has hurt the western world terribly. The USA in particular. The media has been a cheer leader for globalization all along. Let "The Donald" do his thing, then elect a "nicer" person. But 4 years of this guy will serve to let the world know that the USA is no longer open for mass wealth re-distribution. And THAT, my friend...would be a VERY good thing.

Re: Trump refuses question from CNN in UK, calls them fake news on camera

Trump is merely demonstrating that a segment of the press has grabbed Trump squarely by his big, fishy smelling, bleeding, ***** ........... Trump is afraid ........... like a 4 year old .......

Your'e too far out there! You need medication. Do not wait another day.

it seems a bit ironic that globalization being fed by the two greatest factors of transportation & communications has been some thorn in the side of the 'west' even though these industries were originally mastered by western concerns/corporations.

I also find it strange that a people would ever believe that any gravy train will last forever & never run out of steam.

Yes, I would agree that the US has felt a great negative impact from globalization but for many decades Americans saw the greater benefit of globalization, all while they became 'fat & lazy' seemingly never concerned that it would one day all come to some end.

Not a wise people; spoiled rotten is more like it.

You also mention wealth re-distribution which reminded me of the GOP fiscal concept of 'trickle down.'

Oh my ...............

How does reversing Roe V Wade decrease control? How does giving corporations more control an d workers less decrease control? How does destroying an bubbling economy by creating a trade war decrease control? How does building walls decrease control? Hoes does caging children decrease control?

Unless they do what they did after GW, vote for a complete opposite. Frustrations run high on both sides, and if we run to the partisan corners led by extremists, we will see this back and forth for a long time coming. Do you think that is good for our nation, any nation?
Don't get me wrong, I hear you. Trump was elected because the queen was hard to swallow. He also had an ear for what those Americans, who are constantly being dismissed as bible thumping deplorable stupid trailer trash, have to say. We have our elites, the ones who believe they must make the decisions and do the thinking for the uneducated among us. Hollywood, who pretend to speak for us, but snubs their pointy fingers as soon as we disagree, can't understand that average Americans found it refreshing to be heard, instead of being smiled down upon and preached to by those who supposedly care for them. Look who they are trying to protect. It isn't the American who are too busy making a living to be protesting in the streets. It is the ones who are envious of the successes of others, the ones who carry a victim card wherever they go, the ones who don't ask to be invited but come in masses and demand we treat them fairly.

Now the elites, the career politicians, the so called caring people, they are surprised that a guy who told the people that he was listening is in the WH. All Hillary had to do was listen as well, not to the elites, but to the people.

The hustling has begun, the people who elected the man who listened are being told once again that their voices and their votes don't matter, because the elites know best.
Listen, listen more carefully, that's all I have to say.

Has Roe been reversed?

What corporation has been given more control and of what and in what way?

The economy is ginning right along. The forecast destruction is a figment of your imagination. First Quarter was at about the Obama level and Second Quarter looks to be about twice that level.

Walls? Is this the wall and border security that the Democrats promised to provide when Reagan granted amnesty to the folks who were here illegally in the 80's? ANOTHER broken promise from the Dems. Go figure...

Children have apparently been caged in our struggles to work through the issues of illegal immigration since at least the Obama administration. No change there.

Still, you are clinging to the idea that reducing control increases control. Why do you believe this ridiculous and peculiar insanity to be the reality?

"The U.S. economy grew at a 2 percent annual rate in the first quarter and that pace is expected to double to 4 percent in the second quarter, according to analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.

What does wealth re-distribution have to do with trickle-down economics?

trickle-down is just another form of wealth re-distribution .........

Just because you don't agree doesn't make it a false statement.

Just because you don't agree doesn't make it a false statement.

That would imply that employers are redistributing wealth?

Its not a question of agree or disagree. Trickle-down economics is supposed to happen naturally. Wealth re-distribution is forced.
That's only the most obvious difference.
