"The Fed is picking our pockets because, to prevent the economy from overheating, it is legally required to keep inflation in check by raising rates. But the task has been made more urgent by the Republicans’ $1.5 trillion tax giveaway to the wealthy and corporations, which effectively threw gasoline onto a very hot barbecue."

Got that ? they just *gave" 1.5 trillion away to rich people.

Do you know what the word "opinion means"? It is at the top of the page you link to, and in the url. Also from the page you link to:

The editorial board represents the opinions of the board, its editor and the publisher. It is separate from the newsroom and the Op-Ed section.

Seriously, are you going to cry about an opinion piece, clearly labeled as such, expressing opinions?

Well shouldn't an opinion form the editorial board have a little more IQ than calling a tax cut a giveaway?

Are you seriously going to cry about an editorial using hyperbole? And not even that over the top hyperbole. Kinda minor in fact.

OMG! You found bias in an opinion piece - that is truly amazing.

The author believes that if workers and 'job creators' get to keep more (of their) money then they will 'overheat' the economy. Of course, the real 'problem' is that in a growing (aka overheated?) economy there is less call for more government income redistribution spending and the associated 'need' for added taxation to pay for it. Hmm... which party (the one currently in power or the one wanting it back) is likely to suffer at the polls when the economy is growing nicely?

Opinion pieces are biased.
Water is wet.
The ocean is salty.
it's usually warmer in summer than in winter.

Which controversial topic should we discuss next?

Only if they're liberal opinions.

Apparently that's the deal. Liberal opinion pieces are being falsely labelled and thereby condemned. A pretty nasty and wholly dishonest attack on the free press.

The free press is fake news, of course, and the enemy of the people. Trump himself said so, and so it must be true.

Never would have believed I'd see such a thing.

The sky is blue.

But it is

I think from the point of view of some on the right, a tax cut just means the government is taking less from you, not giving you something, ignoring all the government does give to make it possible for those at the top to be at the top. But it really probably was a giveaway in the legislative horse-trading that produced the legislation. Nevertheless, hardly an example of left-wing bias.

True, the Repubs were only paying back their handlers, oh themselves since all of them in the House and Senate, not to mention trump giving hmself a nice tax break. That said I did not want to hear we do not have enough money to help those in real need due to revenue losses, cut funding from you pet projects first, I know where we can get over 3 Billion dollars a year.
