This scandal is getting worse and worse by the day. I first learned about it a few weeks ago, when the EPA officials were worried about how the scandal would look. Now, it appears they are really scared because they are blocking media outlets who they know will ask them the tough questions about the chemicals in water. This should be concerning to every single American Citizen.

Journalists from CNN, the Associated Press and E&E News, a publication that covers energy and environment issues, were barred by the EPA from entering the event, which was focused on harmful chemicals in water. A handful of other reporters from other news organizations, however, were allowed inside the event for Pruitt's opening remarks after having been previously invited by the agency the day before.

Censureship. Pure & simple. A sign of authoritative regimes. We never thought it could come to America, but it has.

I think Swampy thinks he's doing such a great job that he doesn't feel he needs another election. In the past week his speeches have gotten more and more self righteous and that only he can fix all the problems. Emboldened by the Koreans and pushed by China. After the media, the intelligence agencies, and the trade deals go down what's left???

Not only that, 40% of American is embracing it.

And the greatest irony/hypocrisy is that those people are the ones always throwing around accusations of fascism and communism against their opponents.

Who are currently giving speeches and parasailing. Wait... Is that double irony if they got away w/it??? :lamo

Power.

Everything they've done - everything - from the gerrymandering, the misinformation campaigns, the undermining of what are supposed to be impartial government bodies. It's all designed to poison the well and make defeating them a herculean/impossible feat.

The Republican voting base doesn't care how they win, so long as they win. If they get the judges they want, the tax cuts they believe in, and the social policy they want, whatever means that are used are justified by the ends.

Hardly, with a live stream being offered and the link to the OP. If it was truly censured we wouldn't know anything about it.

Funny I used that same line when whiny Milo was crying that he was getting kicked off college campuses. You guys have to stop stealing my stuff.

The point is to avoid having reporters ask real questions.

CNN is crying ... bahhh ... :lamo

I notice there's no defense of the actual decision here. You're proving every liberal in this thread right :lamo

Yeah, my heart bleeds pure yellow for them.. haha

Frankly, I hope for more CNN banning. Can't remember when they last reported anything positive about Trump ... let alone anything about the present administration that wasn't misconstrued by them.
Has CNN apologized or corrected their reporting on the "they're all animals" story?!?

Besides, as the article says, there wasn't room for all the media that wanted to be there ... and everybody invited/not invited has been informed long before.

What makes CNN think they are entitled to an invitation?!?

Because Oh Trump? ! ?

:lamo

I'd call them ... more honest and fair ones.

I'm sure you would. Wouldn't want your psychopath of an EPA chief to have to tell us why he's letting our water and air get polluted the way he is.

And there it is. They want only the state-run media arm to have access. Fascism 101 :)

Next thing you know you gonna tell me that children will starve, old people will eat cat food and poor sick people will be dying in the streets ... :lamo
