Now to content, your whole premise of this thread is nonsense. News reporting might be a small reason as why some people commit heinous crimes like this but to call news reporters and news media ghouls because of that is errant nonsense.

That is not an opinion, what I wrote is a fact, you may not like it but that does not make it any less real. And we are talking about it here because you raised that issue.

So how about that issue of you claiming it was the communists and socialists trying to end the death penalty because you clearly did not respond to that after I raised it because we can all be pretty certain that 45 percent of the US public is not communist or socialist. Good decent people regardless of their political views are opposed to the death penalty for all the right reasons, it does not prevent crime, it is not punishment it is exacting revenge on people, it is racist, it is way too expensive and INNOCENT people risk being executed. And even if only for the risk of executing even one single innocent person, the death penalty is totally morally unacceptable (on top of being racist also).

I could go into this but as it is totally off subject I am going to leave it at that if you don't mind.

But that said, I hope this 17 year old boy gets locked up for life for what he did. If for no other reason than out of sight and out of mind. Try his quickly (all the evidence is clear) and jail him for life. No appeals with death penalty stages and no more media attention for this sad sack of excrement (the shooter that is).

More doubling down on ludicrous comments I see. Most decent people oppose the death penalty out of moral disagreement with the death penalty. And you don't have to hold a vigil outside of a jail to disagree with the death penalty.

Now back to your ridiculous claims about media ghouls. Because there are some, sadly those are not the people reporting on school shootings or tragedies but there are ghouls out there, the most well known being Alex Jones and the nutjobs who work for them and the alt-right conspiracy idiots like those who bother victims of school shootings with claims of it being false flag staged events.

Regular journalists report on regular crimes, you may not agree with how they report on things but luckily the regular news media does not need your approval on how they do their business.

If people want to end the notoriety of school shooters and crime sprees, maybe the US should stop making the names of suspect public, here in the Netherlands we do not publicize the names of suspects.

Sure, one mission goes awry, for reasons mostly that have very little to do with the Dutch armed forces and we are butchers :roll:

370 Dutch troops, with no heavy armory, no tanks, no air support in a enclave surrounded by heavily armed troops from the Serbs were supposed to protect all those Muslims, sorry, but that was a fools errand and an impossible position to be in. Something that is the fault of the UN and the troops supposed to give air support to the Dutch and the negotiations that forced us to be there with virtually no heavy weaponry. It was a disaster but it is hardly logical or honest to blame that on the Dutch soldiers.

Even that the Nazi's had euthanasia is wrong in just about any way shape and form, it is total nonsense. Euthanasia is voluntary and on dying patients or patients suffering with no possible end to that suffering. Which is not what the Nazi's did. What they did was murdering handicapped people, butchery. And the Dutch did not reject that, more stupid comments that shows no grasp of historical reality or facts.

Sure, people may call something everything under the sun, but our country is named the Kingdom of the Netherlands. That is how it is called. I do not care how people call it, they are not using the correct name. Only 2 provinces in our country are named Holland, Zuid Holland (South Holland) and Noord Holland (North Holland).
