As I stated Trump is the one having trouble getting facts straight, not to mention outright lying.

Our ruling

Trump said, "Hillary Clinton and her campaign of 2008 started the birther controversy."

There is no evidence to support this. Clinton supporters circulated the rumor in the last days of the 2008 Democratic primary and after Clinton had conceded to Obama. But the record does not show Clinton or her campaign ever promoting the birther theory, let alone starting it.

We rate Trump’s claim False.

Sadly... you tend to forget the Clinton blogger (back in 2008 or so) that was the source for this Obama birth certificate mess. But okay... do carry on!

A Clinton blogger? A person who supported Clinton? Trump claimed it was the Clinton Campaign. He doubled down on that also. Trump is responsible for the Obama birth certificate mess...and glad you can call it that and not join the nut jobs who still believe he was not born in Hawaii...which is the site of the volcano, which Trump hasn't mentioned yet, I believe.

Just bringing this tangent back to its start.
