There is voter fraud, just not systemic. Such a thing is just as preposterous as Rape Culture, or systemic racism here in the states.

We don't have to show IDs here in Alabama or in my former home in Georgia.

Why should people NOT be required to prove they are a person with the legal qualifications to vote?

I see it as this.
Republicans see that its the legal voters right, not to have their number cast with those that do not. So that the sanctity of said process is maintained.

Democrats see it as a way to pad their numbers... Sorry I was going to write something prophetic and sympathetic to the democratic mindset..

I just didn't see a way for that to possibly be true. Even coming from a former democrat like myself.
