This "news" got top billing this morning:

https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/26/politics/james-comey-donald-trump-town-hall-character/index.html

CNN thinks the most important "news" for my family is that a lawyer has used his psychology skills as a lawyer to come up with yet another bad opinion of Trump. The "fact" that this reputable "news" outlet is dispensing appears to be steering my family towards voting for democrats.

Why doesn't CNN tell me to save 40% of my salary and to spend less than 20% of my income on a mortgage? These things are far more important to me than being shouted at as a voting pawn.

News? Hardly.

Don't read or watch CNN, simple answer. maybe Fox "news" might be more appropriate for you.

The bottom of the hour is hardly the time when they place the top story for airing. That comes at the TOP of the hour. Learn something about their formatting and you not be so upset about nothing.

Also, that "lawyer" is the former FBI Director who is a witness in a potential Obstruction of Justice case against the President of the United States.

It wasn't quite as insignificant as was made out to be.

Comey's psychoanalytical skills are not much on display, but for him to say that what he did wasn't a leak because he intended for it to come out does demonstrate something about his thought process..

It sure reinforces his statement that he wants Trump to succeed.

He's a pisser.
It's not often you run across someone who's convinced themselves they're such a principled righteous hero that they're determined to convince you too.

They are replaying the townhall from last night and analyzing it. Maybe for people who didn't watch it??? Why so triggered?

It is true that I'm least fond of the democrat party - they are the most against personal effort and personal responsibility. I've seen the most improvement in my life by my own abilities and efforts, not because a D or R was in office. This story about Comey is worth as much to me personally as the stained blue dress story - no value to me whatsoever.

Indeed, a lot of my mental energy was wasted years back as I was ardently anti-Obama, and posted many times a day to Newsvine, which was mostly liberal. It made for some fun sport, however it took away from paying attention to my own affairs as I filled my mind with the political celebrities of the day, and argued with people about those celebrities. What a waste.

I don't watch cable or network news. I want to know the unslanted truth and cable news isn't going to give us. It usually takes about three articles from different sources to find out the truth on the internet.

That's not a "top story," that's a recap of yesterday's interview in their political section.

Another conservative fable about hard work and being upstanding and righteous, all the while supporting a total scumbag like Trump.

Not to mention that you were mostly wrong in your rant.

President Trump is a self man, well accomplished man. He's an Alpha Male. He's a winner. Leftie progressives prefer low accomplishment types like Bernie or barry...it shows in your attitudes.

You forgot the part where he went bankrupt for 10 years or so...Had to sell ties, bad steaks and run scams like "Trump University"...Remember he settled for 25 Million.....Not an accomplishment to brag about

4 of his dozens of companies went bankrupt. He never stopped trying though. Speaking of scams, how's bernies wife making out with her lawsuit...you know, the one where she defrauded banks out of 6 or 7 million? bernie and his ILK (made it easier for you to see) simply cannot run things. Name ONE accomplishment of bernies....

Oh no...another trump as kisser reduced to a "what about" defense......

Not so much righteous, I'd say selfish. I can't support a party that would rather see me struggling and dependent on imaginary political solutions.

"selfish" comes as no surprise from those who say they are conservative.

I can't support a party that would rather see me struggling and dependent on imaginary political solutions.

That is one of the lamest memes I've ever heard from the right wing.

Selfish meaning behaving in a way that maximizes personal success. White meth addicts are not selfish, indeed they are the opposite - practicing wanton destruction on themselves. They lower their income on purpose and become a drag on society. There are others that are also not interested in selfish maximization, and thus drag down our schools and fill our prisons.

Some of the democrat vote goes to trying to help these unselfish people with political solutions. Regardless of which party holds power, it's always the same people who drag down society.

Then again, half the people are below the median IQ. It's possible that meth addicts (and other trash-behaving people) believe that they are behaving appropriately. In addition, low intelligence and/or poor self-perception would also make them think that it's other people's fault for the situation they are in, and blaming other people is a hallmark of how both parties get votes.

Inner city Baltimore wasn't helped by Obama, and Kentucky meth addicts aren't being helped by Trump. Whether they like it or not, it's up to them to solve their own problems.

Blaming other people for one's problems isn't healthy and is damaging on a personal level. Therefore, I vote against the party I believe puts that concept forth the most.
