I don't know if I've seen a more awkward interview between fellow conservatives in quite a while (okay, maybe not since the Hannity-Roy Moore interview). Carlson wasn't having any of Bolton's beating of the war drums, pointed to the failures of neo-conservatism while Bolton called Carlson's analysis 'simple-minded.' At the end, Bolton made a jab at Carlson's nonexistent foreign policy experience to which Carlson jabs that his record is better than Bolton's. Hmm, will Bolton tell Trump his analysis of the Iraq War was simple-minded? This interview is at least a week old but didn't see another thread about it.

Why do I get the feeling that if trump saw this interview then Bolton’s job prospects went up in smoke?

Interesting, thanks for posting. I just watched the entire thing (while posting at the same time so I didn't have to constantly look at them). Simple minded?

Yeah, that was very awkward.

Bravo Tucker Carlson! It sure is refreshing to see at least one guy in the MSM asking intelligent and pointed questions.

And it was a pleasure to see Bolton so uncomfortable. He is an Israeli First type of guy.

Thanks for the video clip.

I saw it when it happened. Awkward indeed. But no shots were fired. That's the beauty of Carlson's show. He always has guests he won't agree with.

Tucker did great. I wish more journalists would step away from the partisan shield and ask the tough questions/challenge their guests. Most don't.

Bravo to Calson for calling out neocon idiocy. Seems he can actually take a position I agree with. Too often when I glance at the Fox monitor at the gym he's doing some silly conspiracy piece on "the liberal plot to feminize men" or other fearmongering.

That is one of the reasons I like Tucker's show. It doesn't matter to him what side of the isle the people he interviews are on, he'll still hammer them. I wish I could catch his show more often.

.

I tuned into that very show. I recall Bolton said he still thinks the indulgence into Iraq was a good idea.
That hideous adventure blew up the entire Mideast. In 2004 I voted Democrat for the first time ever &
the Iraq invasion was the primary reason along with the fact that there were whispers that invading Iran
would be next. I surprised Bolton hasn't changed his mind, even Rubio who clung to the notion for years, that
it was necessary to invade Iraq to (overturned an evil dictator who kills his own people) came to his
senses during the 2016 campaigns.

This bolton guy better be kept in check! Carlson handling was pretty praiseworthy.

"I think the mistakes that were made subsequently, setting up the coalition, provisional authority, and others that followed from it, our lessons about what to do after regime is overthrown..."

NO ****, SHERLOCK, THAT'S WHAT WE WERE SCREAMING AT YOU IN THE RUNUP TO THE WAR!!!

wasn't there mention of the pottery barn "you break it you pay for it" rule being applicable to iraq if we chose to invade it
