Because of the prevalence of the platform it isn't not unreasonable to expect that, should civil unrest occur, one would be likely to encounter hostile actors with ARs. To that end, and with the defensive goal being the ability to meet force with equal or greater force, one would be prudent to own and be familiar with the function of an AR.

The prices are driven by the market. When demand goes up so do prices.

Our 2nd Amendment doesn't "claim" anything. It's a restriction on the government from infringing on the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

permit, licenses, air regulations, insurance, tolls etc... not to mention entire government agencies that regulate the sale and ownership of cars. Do you live in this country?

Uh all of them are required. You can't be serious with these arguments right? You are claiming that you don't need a license or insurance to own a car??? Is that really gonna be your position?
