CNN Claims Father Of School Shooting Hero May Have Altered Email To Fuel “Fake News” Charges

You claimed you don't believe "liars". You used those "liars" and other media that has lied before as sources. That's not my fault buddy. I get that it's a pain in the ass to be honest when you are trying to do nothing but score political points. Maybe you should reevaluate your purpose of debating.

As for the sources, I bet every MSM source, blog, newspaper, radio talk show in existance has gotten something wrong or had someone that worked for them that either screwed up or did something dishonest or altered something to make it more salacious than it really was. And for that reason, we know that anything that is reported by anybody on earth *could* be wrong. Right now you want to cast that wide net over CNN because it works for you right now. And tomorrow when they report something that you like you will forget about that net.

In reality if you are truly concerned about the simple truth you must evaluate all claims against the history of the person making the claims (including the company and the individual reporter), the claim they are making and how significant/outlandish it is, the impact of such reporting. For example, if a reporter widely known as honest and trustworthy reports that Trump is golfing this weekend then we can be fairly certain he's going to be golfing. If a reporter widely known as honest and trustworthy is reporting that Trump is looking in to plans to blow up the moon because he thinks that aliens live on it, we can be fairly certain that they are wrong unless they provide us incredibly strong evidence for such an outlandish and silly claim. Everything has to be evaluated on an individual basis. And if there is a source that is just so biased, like a gossip rag etc, that it can't be trusted for even mundane facts, then I have no problem dismissing them out of hand. My problem is when people dismiss all reporting that they disagree with and accept all reporting from that exact same source that they approve of.

It's not about getting something wrong. It's much more than that. CNN actively doctored the koi fish video, that's one example. Even in the shooting, where are the pro-2nd students air time? why were they not invited to the town hall?

CNN is an activist propaganda site who lies.

Let me as you. do you think CNN actively lies or just makes mistakes?

You really have to ask? He doesn't debate facts. Never has never will. Just shoot his point down and move on. An expression about not giving food to tree dwelling creatures with bright colored hair seems apt here.

Nice tantrum.

You guys love to lose arguments then claim others are trolling.

You came in with all the personal stuff, are you really going to whine about trolls?

I will ask you again. Does CNN lie?

I already told you your conspiracy theory about CNN lying about this makes no sense. It's more likely the father of the kid thinks a lot like you do and just wanted to play games with CNN. So go take your bait question somewhere else.

SO is that a yes? CNN lies or no CNN does not lie?

I am unsure of your answer.

OK.

One way or the other, why was the question too long? It doesn't seem any longer than any of the approved questions.

Did you watch the Townhall? I caught it online. The scripting of the questions went haywire when a student asked a question of Sen. Ben Nelson (D) of FL that was intended for Dana Loesch , the spokesperson for the NRA.

"“I had a question for Ms. Loesch but she’s not here yet, so, for her and the NRA, which she’s probably watching, and all of you puppet politicians that they are backing: was the the blood of my classmates and my teachers worth your blood money?”
Rather than chide the questioner for such a dishonest, partisan screed, Tapper immediately jumped to Nelson’s defense.
“Senator Nelson, you don’t have to answer that question,” he said. “Let’s move on to the next question.”
The crowd jeered, and the student was not happy. “Excuse me? I’m a student. I should –”
“I understand that,” Tapper interrupted. “But your question, I thought you were going to ask Senator Nelson a question. Your question sounds like you want to ask Dana Loesch a question in the next segment. And I’m happy to do that, if you want.”"

Watch CNN's Scripted Anti-Gun Town Hall Go Completely Off The Rails

Dana Loesch did an interview after the Townhall and described how the crowd reacted to her calling her a murderer, child killer etc. CNN had the arena packed 360 with anti gun activists, and mourning, angry kids.

Dana Loesch: Here's The Real Story Of What Happened At CNN's Garbage Town Hall

Not if they are right, and no one has produced evidence indicating otherwise.
Tell that to your fellow brethen on the left eho denounce anyone who challenged tje victims demanding gun bans.

Like I said, the body of an email can be changed

We are not talking about the body of the email. We are talking about the header. If the body doesn't match the header, which is what CNN has shown, then the body was obviously modified by someone other than the original sender, which would be CNN. I am a 20 year IT professional, I know what I am talking about here.

ok then

If someone lies to you and you know they lie to you. when they tell you something, do you believe them at face value?

Would you feel the same about FAUXNews or President Trump? They lie to you on a daily basis. I don't recall you ever being upset about that, but I could be wrong. Do they upset you as much?

If he doesn't like people lying to him, he probably listen to any Trump says again.

You people and these idiotic posts. Trump lies, the media lies. how come you have to have it one way or the other?

tell me how you can't edit a header one more time.

Jesus christ you people.... your posts are insane. Show me once defending fox news. just once. I have stated all MSM including fox lies all the time. I have said trump lies. what more do you people want? /facepalm

Hmmm.... Maybe because it would be a huge blow to their credibility...??

Wait.

The father originally said CNN lied.
You guys agreed with him.
The argument you are making now is that CNN released emails to agree with you???

I don't know the father, I don't have a history of him being hostile and lying as CNN does. Show me evidence of lying, and I'll acknowledge it.

I'm not saying CNN is wrong. I'm saying I don't believe them at face value, they are not trust worthy.

The father doesn't want any new gun laws. He gave the son Rotc Cadet Colton Haab a speal about it. The father gave the son the speal after Colton had submitted a question to CNN and the question had been agreed between Stevenson and Colton as relevant and material to the mass murder tragedy.

To wit here is the role of the father Glen Haab....

CNN says that Stevenson and Colton agreed on one question that Colton would ask, but that Haab’s father, Glenn Haab, intervened, sending a lengthy speech (see below) that he wanted Colton to read, which included three questions for lawmakers.

Stevenson responded that the speech was “way too long” and that Colton “needs to stick” to the question they agreed on. Glenn then responded that he and his son “are not actors” and that Colton would not participate in the town hall if he could not read the full speech.

And here’s the important part. They turned over doctored emails that showed CNN was telling the truth. They said that they were asking everyone to keep their questions brief rather than give long speeches and that he needed stick to the question “that he submitted.” The emails that the Haab family turned over did not include that part and the metadata for the Word document that included the email showed that the last person to edit it was Glenn Haab.

The Haab family then sent those doctored emails to Fox News and Tucker Carlson ran with the story, claiming that it shows CNN was trying to censor the families who wanted policy changes other than stricter gun laws.

Sounds like fake news from a rightwing father who continues to campaign for his individual causes and purposes against new or improved gun laws.
