Trump's morning tweets perfectly align with Fox & Friends

...Trump said it was a landslide...

I would tend to think that ANY claims to a landslide victory in a US Presidential election would require one to AT MINIMUM win both the electoral college vote AND the popular vote.

After the socialist wrecking ball, we are pretty easy to please, I guess. Its like my father's saying about the guy they found hitting himself on the head with a ball peen hammer. Asked why he was doing so, he said, " Cause it feels so good when I stop."
We can surmise that you mean Obama but I don't know what socialism you are referring to? Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, etc. all existed before Obama and still exist today. You must be talking about Trump gutting environmental protections; allowing companies to put harmful chemicals on our food; ditching net neutrality; or, you have no idea what you are talking about.

I'll take, "You have no idea what you are talking about" for $200, Alex.

Prove... what, exactly? I've given the facts.

I can't disprove your personal definition of "landslide" because it's arbitrary and subjective. Your claim is that 80% of elections are at least "landslide" level and I personally think that makes the term meaningless.

You're clearly defining the term retroactively. Trump said it was a landslide, so you had to backfill the definition to make him right. You should take some personal time to reflect on exactly why it is you're doing that. For example, did you actually use the term "landslide" for either of Obama's victories?
I will match your "I can't disprove your personal definition of "landslide" because it's arbitrary and subjective" and raise you a "it matters not how many times a resounding victory occurs, it is still resounding, whether the term is rendered meaningless to the also very non persuasive ...or not.

Nah, you got that last wrong, too. So that makes you having it all wrong. I predicted myself a landslide on this site the day before the election. Can't blame Trump, again. So no need to backfill, we leave that to Democrats and they leave that to the hired help.

I didn't use much of anything in the defeats to the slenderman socialist. For our side if its not in the W column then its in the L, yano?

Fox News is a disgrace to journalism. Popped into a McDonalds the other day where the TV stays on Fox News, and with all the developments lately, all they could focus on was how the FBI dropped the ball on the Florida shooter. Over and over and over. Nothing on Trump that is negative as usual.

I walk into a business that has Fox News blaring on a TV set, I immediately walk back out and never return.

Trump isn't going to last. Especially after the midterm bloodbath.

I used to think that but lately I wake up screaming with a recurring nightmare.
The Democrats sweep both chambers in an historic upset. Independents, liberals and Democrats alike rejoice, the country has an almost "get down on your knees and cry" moment of relief. It is very short lived.

The following morning, the Midnight Trump Tweet Toilet rants are revealed.
Trump, it seems, is now convinced that "Republicans are losers, and he knew it all along."

Shortly after, a blanched faced trio on Fox and Friends reveals that Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have announced that "they look forward to working WITH President Trump", and "The Great Normalization of Donald Trump" begins as the Vulgar Talking Yam tries desperately to remain relevant and in power by any means necessary, and in the hopes that currying favor with Chuck and Nancy will bring relief from impeachment, which is "taken off the table", along with the Russia investigation.

Trump wins handily in 2020 after he again pivots and betrays the Democrats, who slink into obscurity for a generation.

Wonder why you left out Obamacare? Doesn't fit the spin, quite, does it? The guy was all about redistribution, you know it and so do I. Take a peak at reality, if not. It does a body good.

A plausible scenario.
I really liked the "Vulgar Talking Yam" part.

They took a break from round the clock hillary coverage?

I left out Obamacare knowing that you would jump on the bait.

If you note how you started this -- calling Obama a socialist. So, is Obamacare socialism? Let's see... Obamacare requires that private individuals to buy private insurance policies from privately owned insurance companies. You know, SOCIALISM!!!

What do you not get about the state, our own government, forcing individuals out of their individualism and into state collectivist system of purchasing, against their collective wills, to redistribute income to others who supposedly, through no fault of their own, cannot afford to purchase health care.

A "requirement" is not a suggestion, you know, its a mandatory rule backed up by the full force of the federal government.

Good trap, seeing as you only esnared yourself. Tar baby sticky, this attempt at hiding the left's inevitable relationship with this historically failed ideology.

Well, the ball peen hammer was Barrack Obama. It now feels so good cause he has been stopped. As to Trump, suck it up, we did for 8 long miserable years under slender, sly but stupid's administration

So, a GOP POTUS GW Bush wrecked the world economy, and Obama saved the world economy, and gave Trump a huge gift of a robust economy, yet you were miserable with Obama?
Not to mention that Obama has great moral character, which Trump doesn't even know what that even means.
Strange hammers you are using .........

I really wish the WH would have a movie night, and forget to pay the President's cable bill.

Trump is smart and learns to adapt. President Bush, for example, did not Tweet. This allowed the left wing media to demonize him without any resistance. The left got to set the agenda for the insults and fake news. This allowed them to plan longer term. Trump by tweeting, gets to set the agenda, and even gets to throw the first punch. This is smart and adaptive. Once Trump tweets, the leftist rags have to insult him, along the lines of the dance, that Trump is leading. This is not good of a long term leftist plan.

Many people don't like his tweets because they often appear like a loose cannon who is embarrassing at times. This is by design. The reason is, the media, in general, has regressed to a National Enquirer style of reporting. Instead of cold facts and analysis, it all about grocery store scandal; big foot sightings in Russia. The media has become a series of dirty rags, with each trying to be the dirtiest of all the rags.

That being the case, if Trump acts like an uncouth loose cannon, the gossip mongers, from the various rags, will not be able to control themselves. Even FOX will complain about his tweeting since their also think in terms of the impact of gossip. The media will gossip about him, with Trump leading the gossip discussion, by proxy. People will eventually get tired of nothing by negative gossip from bullies. It will be funny at first, but it will eventually make people feel sorry for the victim. Nobody is perfect and imperfect people will relate to the victim, more than the bullies. They will turn on the bullies.

Picture a new kid arrives at school, who stutters. The bullies will isolate him and make fun. They may even create fake news gossip. This may be exciting and funny at first. But as time goes on and people get to know the new kid, this gossip and bullying will become a turn off, to all but the meanest of people. People will start to relate to the victim. It is already happening, with Trump approval at 50%, which is higher than Obama was in the same time. This is with 90% negative news.

Excellent early morning work Mr. President. That will keep all the headless yet still mouthing news bandits busy the rest of the day so they don't have to do any real work.

Huff n puff, Trump bad... no no no we over here say Trump badder...well from our viewpoint, we at this network say Trump is the worser of all ( the fake news competition that CNN gold medals in consistently).

So Trump is just distracting us....and that's good to you?

I didn't intend for this to devolve into a discussion of the ACA, which has helped millions in the U.S., so far.

If Keynes was still alive, he'd title your post "A General Theory of Obamacare Fiction," but let me critique your nutty views on redistribution first.

First, conservatives are hypocrites. They object to redistribution when it's going from the rich to the poor but it's just fine to redistribute government money to hedge funds when they run into trouble.

Second, it’s kind of interesting to read your post right after reading Piketty, because one point Piketty makes is that the modern notion that redistribution is un-American is completely at odds with our country’s actual history. One subsection in Piketty’s book is titled “Confiscatory Taxation of Excess Incomes: An American Invention”; he shows that America actually pioneered very high taxes on the rich:
When we look at the history of progressive taxation in the twentieth century, it is striking to see how far out in front Britain and the United States were, especially the latter, which invented the confiscatory tax on “excessive” incomes and fortunes.
Why was this the case? Piketty points to the American egalitarian ideal, which went along with fear of creating a hereditary aristocracy. High taxes, especially on estates, were motivated in part by “fear of coming to resemble Old Europe.”

Just to reemphasize the point: during the Progressive Era, it was commonplace and widely accepted to support high taxes on the rich specifically in order to keep the rich from getting richer -- a position that few people in politics today would dare espouse. As your post so vividly illustrates, many people nowadays imagine that redistribution and high taxes on the rich are antithetical to American ideals, indeed practically communism. They and you have no idea (and wouldn’t believe) that redistribution is in reality as American as apple pie.

Third, on your rant about Obamacare, here’s what you need to understand. The Affordable Care Act isn’t magic -- it produces losers as well as winners. But it’s not black magic either, turning everyone into a loser. What the Act does is in effect to increase the burden on fortunate people -- the healthy and wealthy -- to lift some burdens on the less fortunate: people with chronic illnesses or other preexisting conditions, low-income workers.

Those struggling worker that had adequate coverage that right-wingers say are now being confronted with unaffordable premiums, get subsidies. Those without coverage, if they live in a state not dominated by a reactionary ideology, they get Expanded Medicaid. That's certainly better than going without healthcare -- what they did previous to the ACA.

Fourth, while you righteously portray this as the middle class workers being the losers, the real losers under Obamacare are people in the one percent paying higher taxes, healthy young men who are getting by with cheap, minimalist policies. But right-wingers want sob stories -- the sick middle-aged woman facing tragedy. And so far, every single one of those sob stories has turned out to be false -- because the very nature of the reform is such that such those are the people that the Act helps.

Now that Trump and the GOP are doing their best to sabotage Obamacare, it's going to be interesting in state that Trump carried widely, that are going to be hurt by Trump's attack on Obamacare. Halt In Subsidies For Health Insurers Expected To Drive Up Costs For Middle Class.

Did you predict, by chance, his election, an electoral landslide ? I did. and I think you are wrong.

Such a loyal supporter. Parroting a lie over and over does not make it a fact. Except in Trump land.

I missed that Gaugingcatenate actually stated that Trump, who didn't get most of the votes and won the electoral college by 107,000 votes in three states, won in a landslide. That's remarkable.

Nice dystopian construct there, and I do think the current dem party and leadership may be just dumb enough to let it happen. However, you have to factor in Trump's health, age, and the hit his lifestyle has taken due to the nature of the job he's stuck in now. I'm sure he'd love to go back to banging porn stars, and I'm not sure the orange ego won't have simply had enough of what the POTUS gig offers in a few more years. That said, he seems to have handed most of the POTUS job off to others, and mainly exists to keep his "base" in line with the tweet stream and occasional rallies. Maybe that's cush enough to be livable for him. Plaus, he and his family are definitely taking his WH gig to the bank and cashing in big time.

What a long strange trip this is...

Well his imperial Emperor said so...

Fox news was always intended to be a mouthpiece for the right-wing, because credible journalists rarely took the sides that required them to be stupid, to lie, to chase conspiracy theories, to create conspiracy theories, to defend child molestors, to attack victims of school shootings, etc.

Leave that to Fox and the other right wing political organizations.

No conservatives deny Fox coordinates with the White House, that's why you don't see them defending it here, just a few cooks saying stupid ****, which is really all that can be done in the wake of this year's lowest point in right-wing history and Trump defender stupidity.

Obama and robust economy do not compute. The old adage about computing data fits, garbage in garbage out.

Fox is very predictable and favorable to Trump. That's where he gets his talking points from. At least he did today and even admitted it in a tweet. "Fox and Friends."

What's amusing about Fox is that Fox used to be very anti Trump. In fact, the first time Trump ever complained about media bias WAS about Fox News, after the first GOP debate. Fox is establishment, and they wanted Jeb, Rubio, or some other establishment GOP politician to be the nominee. When it became inevitable that the Reality T.V. Star was going to be the nominee, they had no choice but to back him. And now they are firmly stuck up his ass, just like they would be ANY Republican president.
