I started listening to them periodically this year and it is a pretty good podcast. They are honest and present the truth about politics. Many people will say they are unfair to Republicans but one can't help but realize that Republicans look bad when presented in an unbiased light because the Republican party of today is being led by a white power moronic liar who wants a dictatorship.

Yup if everyone is saying you are bad guys, but you, perhaps you are bad guys.
 
I'm a big podcast fan in general, and used to listen to nearly every Pod Save America episode, but recently they've really turned me off. They are insanely partisan and most of the time are just yelling about whatever the latest Trump tweet or media scandal is. It's not interesting, useful, or new information. They really push hard at getting people activated in the political process, pushing people to call their legislators to do things about Democratic pet issues, and getting involved with organizations like MoveOn and Indivisible. HBO signing them is basically a contribution in-kind to the Democrats later this year. I wonder how the DNC is going to treat that on their FEC returns?
 
Pod Save America is not really my vibe, but I respect their ability to keep people interested and focused on politics in general and upcoming elections in particular. Yes, they are activist (they admit to this regularly), but they are honest within their activism. One ignored podcast from Crooked Media is Pod Save the World, which is more focused on global crises, how past administrations have dealt with them, and how the present administration is dealing with current crises. Spoiler alert: the present administration isn't handling them well, but they do go into terrific detail into the why of it.

Personally, when I feel like getting into the weeds of a current news event, I go for the NPR podcast, Left, Right and Center, and Preet Bahrara.

538 is a good one for when you're feeling especially nerdy. What's rather remarkable about this crew is that they are die hard mathematicians and statisticians. What this means is that although their political preferences are never in doubt, this never causes them to stray from the math. If the statistics favor Republicans, they won't hesitate to say it and they'll do their best to explain why using historical statistics.
