This is what happened:

Trump supporters admitted Trump wasn't perfect. They did a better job than paid Trump supporters who for all intents and purposes are not allowed to admit that Trump isn't perfect. Then, NY Times bashed Trump later since no one properly explained why or what policies they liked that Trump did.

Trump and his cabal have created the narrative that "the media is biased against Trump," to the point that the media goes out of its way to prove it is not. The reality is as Harry Truman said, "I never give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think it's hell." The media isn't biased against Trump. They just tell the truth and Trump thinks they are biased.

Paywall behind the first two links. Last link didn't give much info. Just a few names and what they apparently said. The one line that I was able to read from the NYT's link before the paywall interfered is that the editorial board supposedly opened itself to Trump supporters. Which begs a few of questions: 1: Did they really? 2: Were they actually Trump supporters? Or were they just playing as such? 3: Are they (the NYT's) admitting to being openly biased so much that normally they refuse to let Trump supporters opinions be heard?

I will admit to not reading any (allegedly) supporting links because of your OP "logic".

That (bolded above) makes no sense at all.

Would it be OK for the NYT to bash Hillary (Obama or Sanders) based on what Hillary (Obama or Sander) policies their supporters were unable to explain or like?

You might want to read what the Trump supporters said then. It's the second link. Lacking details and makes no sense at all is their way of life.

As to your second point. Sure.

:ranton:

Has anyone done a word count on how many times the word "Trump" is mentioned in any thread?
I mean ANY thread. Be the subject on how to better water your garden or the best way to make an omelette.
I only say this because the hate and fixation on Trump is getting old coming from only a few members on here.
Each and every day more "Trump hate" threads get made by the same members over and over again.....and for some of the most trivial things.

The conservative posters make threads about the left / liberals in general or Democrats in particular, but I have never seen sure fixated hatred on one President in my lifetime.
Are you select few going to keep this up for the next three years?
Surely you have much more to talk about in the broad spectrum of political thought.
How about broadening your horizons and attack conservatives in general or Republicans in general.
I mentioned sarcastically if Trump wiped a booger under the seat of a rented limousine in 1987 you guys would put in under the BREAKING NEWS section.

You can't see you select few are becoming a one act pony?

BTW Trump was mentioned 8x in this post, but neither positively or negatively as a person or the President. I am just tired of all the viciral(sp) hate day in & day out. I saw it directed against Obama at every gun forum I was on and it got old there too. Surely you all can post more provocative stuff than "Trump this" and "Trump that" for the next three years. You have already done it for over a year now.

We get it! You hate Trump and everything he does. Message received and understood. Now move on and talk about something else.

That is ridiculous. That is like saying it's fine for the NYT to bash Obama for what Rev. Wright rants about. I don't care one tiny bit about what some Trump (or Obama) "supporter" says. Now if Obama said that he agreed with Rev. Wright's rants that would be another matter entirely. In other words, it was fair to bash Trump for asserting (implying?) that the Nazi's in Charlottesville are fine folks but not to bash Trump simply because some Nazi said that they liked Trump.

:rantoff:

Sure. Ignore it/them. You can see the inverse world by watching Fox or listening to any of the dozens of syndicated radio ranters, but they are also better ignored. I tend to think Obama probably got the same treatment on DP when he was president, but I wasn't a member then.

Someone's triggered. Would you be more happy on a pro-trump forum??? Trump makes it easy to attack him. Fellow GOP apologists like Lindsey graham as well. But it's odd that you don't even want to know when the media tries to hear trump supporters positions.

The NYT invited pro Trump people to write in. The NYT then picked which letters they would publish then bashed Trump supporters for the letters that the NYT picked to publish because "no one properly explained why or what policies they liked that Trump did" and you fell for it.

The NYT is on the same level as Breitbart or InfoWars when it comes to validity.

I agree with you whole heartedly about those radio ranters. They take "preaching to the choir" to another level entirely.

The Trump (oh that word again) worship on FOX is not as irritating to me there as is their insistence on saturating their shows with commercials.
They interrupt personal interviews with commercials in mid sentence.
They only allow their guests a minimum of time to talk, therefore making any debate a waste of time to even watch.
I don't think I have seen FOX even once for a 10 minute period without commercial interruptions.
Usually it is more like 3 to 5 minutes between breaks. Barely enough time to say anything.

It is because here on DP EVERYONE who does not attack Trump daily is considered a "Trumpette", a "Trumpteer", or some other insulting term.
Even those people like me who thought he was a better choice than Hillary are attacked and labeled those same insulting terms merely for voting our choice.
That does NOT make me a trump supporter.
All i did was not vote for Hillary, but to certain narrow minded individuals on here that puts me in the same basket as his most ardent supporters, of which i am not.
I was even vulgarly cussed by one member and told i was a threat to her children for flipping the lever that direction.

You have made the word "Trump supporter" a dirty word.

You did it during the election and it cost you.
You are still doing it now and it will continue to cost you until you realize there do actually exist a group of people who merely voted their choice and are not "inbred deplorable Nazi Trumpettes".
Using these words against those of whom do not think like you will continue to cost you in the future.
("you" meaning a general term, not you as an individual)

I am a college educated conservative Democrat who voted for Trump because i personally felt he was a better choice for President than Hillary.
That does not make me a Nazi.
That does not make me a threat to someone's children.
That does not make me an inbred hillbilly.
That does not make me uneducated.
That does not make me ill informed.

That DOES make me someone that thinks differently that you....and that is all it makes me.
Keep using all those other adjectives and pronouns to your political peril.

Dude. It sure does sound like you'd be happier on a pro-trump forum. That's all I asked. Then you spent a whole paragraph complaining about how you've been treated by nevertrumpers on this forum.

What gets me is the screaming "FOX NEWS ALERT : Breaking - Democrats hate straight white males." type nonsense scrolling constantly. MSNBC does the same thing on the other side. I only see that stuff at the gym, so the sound is off (CC is on) and I'm listening to music so my impressions are just that - impressions. They seem to have as little actual content as those radio shows. I listened to Mark Levin for an hour once. There was 20 minutes of "show". The rest was commercials, news, and him pimping Hillsdale College and Levin TV. What a waste.

I will reply to your above post with a quote from Mark Twain.
"A FANATIC is someone who will not change their mind and CANNOT change the subject".

You are a fanatic by this definition because your screen name already indicates you cannot change the subject, and are dedicated to only that one subject.
Though i have repeatedly told you I am NOT....NOT... a Trump supporter, you have yet to comprehend that thought. Your fixation prevents you from seeing it. Though it has been said repeatedly.

If you had higher reading interpretation skills you would see i am merely saying i am sick of all this talk about Trump, one way or the other.
The fact I am not a fanatic about the subject means I can see this and you can not because of your fanaticism.
That is also why you can not change the subject.....ever.
Nor care to.

If Trump wasn't such a bad President he wouldn't need to be spanked but then again. I heard he liked it.

I understand what you’re saying but make sure you’re point is correct. Trump never said Nazis are fine folks. He said there was fine folks there on both sides, not everyone there against talking down the monument was a Nazi, glad to help, Trump gets enough things said about him that wasn’t what he said so at least be correct.

So accurately put!

I found myself pleasantly surprised on morning when I turned on the TV and it was set to Good Morning, America.
The people there got to talk more than 3 minutes, they also had some singing artists performing, some cooking, and of course a news segment.
I found it such a pleasant break from all the "get em' ON....get em' OFF" attitude at FOX, where you barely get to hear what they have to say before they are rushed off the camera and another talking head is put on.

I did enjoy something on Greg Gutfield last night though. You might get a laugh out of it too.
The big wrestler guy said that false alarm on the nuke attack in Hawaii will probaly lead to a surge in divorces afterward because then married couples probably let it all out about how they REALLY felt about their spouses families and each other.

" I have always hated your mother, you are way too fat, and your damned dog is a pain in the ass"!

then....the all clear sounded....OOOPPS!

Thank you. My point, however, remains the same. What a politician says is fair to go after the politician over, what a politician's supporter says is only fair to go after the supporter over.

I just gave you what a famous American author said about fanatics, and you are fitting completely into his definition.
because of your horrible reading interpretation skills, i will repeat it.

" A FANATIC is someone who can not change their mind and will not (or can not) change the subject ".....Mark Twain.

You are the third poster on this site who is ridiculing me for posting anti-Trump things within the past week. Don't like it? You can ignore, or you can just not respond. Trump is a bad President and I'm done giving snowflake supporters or those sympathetic to Trump the benefit of the doubt. Everything this man does deserves to be talked about, and I won't be shut down because people are "tired of it."

...then this makes you a FANATIC about Trump.
no surprise there. You fit Mark Twain's definition perfectly.

It will help with your blood pressure, though, if you understand, not everyone cares.
...and few people are fanatical about anything.
Your passion is admirable as long as you are not a (Richard) about it.
I admire passion in people.
Few have it anymore. Just don't be a (Richard) about it.

If it helps, John Adams was also a FANATIC about independence from Great Britain when few others in Congress were.
the play, turned movie, 1776 is one of my favorites.

Note I only mentioned Trump once.

I just can't believe some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth or what the people he has hired says or do every day. So I want to talk about it, there are people who take it too far. E.G. Kathy Griffin, but I don't think I am one of them.

Fixated and can not and will not change the subject.
I want my nickle back.
I have seen this show before.

I have opened the door on several different subjects to talk about and you just can not and will not do it.

ie...Mark Twain, John Adams, the movie 1776, FOX News, ect. were all thrown out there, but you just cannot and will not talk about anything else but (yawn) Trump.

Bye.
