Trump attacks WSJ

I listened to Mycroft's link. Trump said "I".

I admit this is getting more OCD than is entirely healthy, but I downloaded the audio and slowed down the tempo in Garage Band. There is absolutely no "d" sound following the "I". There is no hard sound whatsoever following "I," just a nice clean transition from "I" to "probably." If I could upload it here I would.

He clearly lists three people with whom he claims to have good relationships, "to the surprise of the press" (who all are against him.....)

I would say be sucks completely.

Waste of oxygen as a human being.

Does not and never has made the world a better place.

Maybe that should be a thread? Why is the world a better place because Donald Trump was in it? Or how has Donald Trump made the world a better place?

It is FASCINATING we heard about Obama's 'you can keep your doctor' statement for YEARS from Cons and the Con media. Their heads almost exploded.

But Trump lies daily, many days more than once, and those same Cons and Con media don't give a damn.

Trump can do anything, he can say anything and his cult like followers just don't care. As long as he keeps spewing hate towards Libs, dems and Mexicans and Muslims, I doubt they will ever care, no matter how many lies he tells.

Be that as it may, Obama did tell a lie. Just because we are hung up on Trump's lies doesn't mean we should forget about Obama's lies, and he did lie. Not as much as Trump, but he did lie.

I’d have a good relationship with Kim Jong Un,” requires an if...

If he weren't a bloodthirsty madman with a nuclear weapon and I weren't such a narcisistic ass would be my if. What would yours be?

Add malignant to that narcissistic and it sounds about right.;)

I didn't hear it.

But there's no "if" following the first half of his predicated statement, either. So where's the rest of the statement?

Regardless though, are you really going to believe something released from the White House in defense of Trump? :doh

Actually that source doesn't contain "I'd" either. They're relying on people making themselves believe they heard it.

The bit from the source, slowed down:

I slowed it down too and I'm not really sure why I took the time. Either way it really doesn't affect my opinion of Trump, the WSJ, Kim Jong Un or anyone.

But yeah, no matter what I did to it I couldn't hear a "d" sound.

It's just one of those debates that had me thinking, "You know what? Ultimately this really isn't that important, but it's a debate I can put the lid on for myself."

That’s probably it. Unimportant but it really does have a reachable answer unlike most things we talk about here.

What's good is that the WSJ beat Trump at his own game. Media Orgs should take notice.

OMG... Your op was in fact "Fake News" and instead of just admitting that the WSJ, that "independent transcription service" and YOU were wrong, you post the following:

Trump is the one who started the I crap. If it wasn't for him, no one would even be talking about it. He's just turning a stupid statement into an even stupider statement.

You sir have an unhealthy obsession with the president and in spite of the very first thing you wrote in your op, you have proven that you are in fact "petty" for doubling down on your attacks instead of taking your lumps for being wrong.

.

You are obviously hearing what you want to hear. The WSJ used a trained professional to determine that he said I.

OMFG... Your obscession has taken over your mind. He said "I'd", not "I"... It couldn't be any plainer.

.

When it comes to claims of "independent", I question that nowadays. Hell, the WSJ is supposed to be "independent"...but they are just as anti-Trump biased and all the rest.

Yup, soon all Trump will have is Breitbart, World Nut Daily, and the National Enquirer.

Listen to the slowed recording. There's no "I'd." The hard "d" sound simply isn't there.

Sure. And I don't think he sucks even remotely as much as the anti-Trump Mainstream Media tries to make it seem.

Not to mention the amount of BS they dig up for themselves, in the process of attempting to do so.

Where is the "but?" Don't people follow a statement like "I'd probably have a good relationship with x, but..." He just stopped and mentioned how people are surprised that he has 'relationships.'

Buddhist style.

Dalai lama has a quote. Goes something like, "Its easy to get overwhelmed. The world needs so much. What can one person do? The answer is anything. Anything you do to make the world a better place, makes the world a better place."

So I do what I see needs doing. Like when the old lady is weeping in the grocery store lot because her car won't start. Stopped what I was doing. Gave her a jump, followed her home. Put a new battery in for her. Didn't accept any money.

That's one. But every time I see a chance I take it.

That's a great way to be.

Ever since the primaries Trump would say something, then a bunch of his followers would come on TV and tell us he really meant this or he really meant that. Not what he said. I pretty much ignore what Trump says. One can never be sure if he meant what he said or something else.

Now people, even president's misspeak. Saying I instead I'd is easy to do. I know with my fat fingers on this site I have left of an important N'T for example. Typed should when I mean shouldn't, but while typing I knew I typed shouldn't.

I don't pay much attention to what Trump says or tweets. Heck, I don't pay much attention to him period. He'd ruin my day if I did. Besides, no one knows what he really means anyway.

And all you'll have are unnamed sources.

Of course you did.

You don't say "I'd" unless you follow it with a qualifier. He never followed it with a qualifier so putting "I'd" in there would make no sense... unless he meant to say "I'd" and ended rambling as he is wont to do.

Wrong.

He stopped himself before the qualifier...twice.
